Welcome to another instalment of the Nothing Community Monthly Photography Challenge! @Rob ⚡️ and I loved seeing everyone’s entries for last month’s theme, ‘Movement & Motion’.

This month’s theme is ‘Night Photography’ - a theme that invites you to explore some post-sunset lighting and get creative with darker scenes!

Can you capture a city skyline illuminated by streetlights and neon signs? Maybe you’ll capture a stunning photo of the stars and moon on clear night. Or perhaps you’ll find creative ways to light a portrait? Let your creativity shine through, and explore nighttime photography throughout the month. Don’t forget to experiment with different exposures and lighting techniques!

So nice to hear that I was one of the highlighted entries from last month’s challenge! What a pleasant suprise!

For this month’s challenge I wasn’t sure what to post, since I really enjoy night photography, but I didn’t have much chance to go out in the night with my Phone (2) yet.

Edit: I went out last night, as the sky was clear and there was no Moon. I could take this long exposure picture of the milky way!

However, I found in my gallery this picture I took in a neon-themed minigolf course during a trip in Germany with some friends.

I really like the contrast between the dark background and the neon colors, which are brought up by the overhanging UV lights. It was for sure a memorable afternoon, and needless to say, I left the venue with my gallery full of colofrul pictures and a slight headache 😵

Taken on Phone (2)'s main camera with Night Mode and XDR on, and no editing afterwards.

These are some pictures from my last trip to Morocco. We saw a fire eater that did a show for us in the middle of the desert after a trip on quads.

The pictures are take in pro mode and without any tripod. Plus just a bit of tweaking with Snapseed

Shot with Nothing

I was returning home after a long day and noticed that the night sky is unusually bright. When I got to an opening between the buildings I saw why. Noctilucent clouds reflected the light of the sun which set few hours earlier. Instantly I regretted that I don’t have my mirrorless camera with me, but relied on night mode on Phone (2). It didn’t disappoint to say the least.
