Welcome to the Nothing Community
So excited to be invited to join a community like this at such an early stage. Being a student I get the unique perspective of learning alongside the innovation of new technology, but until now haven’t been given opportunities to gain insight on any projects from the very beginning which fragments the ability to truly understand what the vision is, and the intent of how to reach it.
Hoping that Nothing continues on this journey listening to those who care the most about the tech they use.

The care in the content I have seen on the “Newsroom” section of the site is transpiring to the Community Forums; from the get-go building exactly what you propose on this thread.
The forums should be used to make the company and the community row in the same direction - and this start is auspicious.
I love the concept of starting small and expanding with defined and intentional steps. And what you mention in the second half of your message is promising in being true to “a welcoming, supportive and safe place for all”.
I cannot predict the future, but I do believe the tech space was and is in the need of a company like Nothing. All the best for you and the whole team.

Hi Carl, thanks for letting some of us “regular users” also being a part of the early days of this new adventure.
The truth is that even though I wasn’t brave enough to “put my money where my mouth was”, I would still love to get a glimpse of how things are being developed and try to offer some decent feedback.
I’m more a “seeing is believing” kind of guy, so I tend to try and keep my feet on the ground and see how things evolve. Promising great things is always the easy part, anyone can do it. The delivering part is the difficult one, and even though many try it with all their heart, the truth is that most end up failing.
That’s why I feel that in any community there should always be an ideal balance between the true believers, that tend to follow no matter what, and the more skeptical ones, that tend to be harder to be convinced.
Because in the end if you would have only one side of the coin, the results would invariably be bad, because you would either end up over confident and taking some unnecessary risks, or just to fearful and losing faith on the things you were trying to accomplish.
Carl as well as outlining the plans for determining our inaugural Community Board Member. It’s important to us that our community is represented at the highest level within our company, and so this will be a crucial role, with elected terms running annually. As well as being invited to attend quarterly board meetings and deliver feedback from a community perspective, the Community Board Member will also meet regularly with the Nothing Community Team to discuss wider issues, improvements, and other topics.
This looks indeed something promising, and I’m really curious to see how that will work. Kudos for trying to make things different this time.

The thing I appreciate most about you is that you truly value feedback from your community and appreciate that you are making products for actual people who have real desires and tastes and you want to give them the best possible experience with their technology.

Even without a product I am in love with Nothing’s focus points already. I absolutely can’t wait to see what will be launched and try and experience it myself.

When is the launch event? We are approaching last week of June already. I am very excited about the product.
