Dear Friends,
Welcome to our community! Hopefully, today marks the beginning of something that will become truly great with time.
Near the beginning of this year, we announced Nothing to the world with the mission to remove barriers between technology and people to create a seamless digital future. We have shared a little of how we hope to achieve that through our product design and the reveal of Concept 1 – a first expression of our design principles, starting with transparency that embodies our commitment to bringing technology closer to people.
From the very start, we also knew that we wanted to apply that same mission to how we build and engage with you, our community.
It began with our first round of crowdfunding – quite literally giving you the opportunity to be a part of this company’s story in a very material fashion. Now, we’re proud to launch our community forum – a space for conversation and collaboration between company and community.
To that end, we’re starting small and intimate with the forum, and for good reason: we want to focus on building a high quality community. We want to hear your thoughts and feedback on the company, on design, on technology, on the things that we’re doing and the things you’d like to see in the future. We want to create an environment that celebrates and cultivates quality feedback and conversation that goes two ways.
Those who are invited to join this forum will be the first to know about upcoming events, initiatives, and unique opportunities, with the goal of contributing to our journey in a meaningful way.
Over the next few months, we will be providing guidance on how members can put themselves forward for the Moderator team, as well as outlining the plans for determining our inaugural Community Board Member. It’s important to us that our community is represented at the highest level within our company, and so this will be a crucial role, with elected terms running annually. As well as being invited to attend quarterly board meetings and deliver feedback from a community perspective, the Community Board Member will also meet regularly with the Nothing Community Team to discuss wider issues, improvements, and other topics.
It’s important too that we ensure we keep our online community a welcoming, supportive and safe place for all. With that in mind, we will be on the lookout for active and dedicated forum members to join our Community Team as Moderators across the coming weeks. I encourage you all to please read through and take note of our Community Guidelines.
Welcome to the community, and thank you for being a part of our story.
We’re only just getting started.
