You know how a lot of Communities have a recap of the week, I would love to see these forums have an informal digest with the Community Manager - or someone from the Community Team who loves to write.
No fancy, marketing lingo capable of starting a train of ZzzZz in the most caffeinated person alive, but a conversation with anyone who takes part; a thread where you link the best that happened around these boards during the last few days, or perhaps weeks.
Make it a direct, open line of conversation, be around to read the replies and interact with those who will take time out of their busy lives to read and to reply. Promote the good content that was published with an official stamp and the spontaneous one that arrived from an inspired mind.
It’s a good thing when you have a Community that shares so much good content that others don’t have enough time to read it all. Make this series of threads the perfect companion for a coffee or a snack during the weekend, giving members an added chance to not miss a single piece - not only people will be informed, but Nothing will pass the message to the highest number of members who are always potential customers.
And end each “digest” with a paragraph dedicated to the future. Some of us know what you are working on because we are here an ungodly amount of time. Well, end those threads with a “and in the next couple of days/weeks we’ll have this, we’ll tackle those, we’ll make that happen”.
A condensed way of making sure the best threads reach their purpose: to be read by a lot of members, to instigate the sense of a thriving Community, to sponsor a glimpse of the future.
