You know how a lot of Communities have a recap of the week, I would love to see these forums have an informal digest with the Community Manager - or someone from the Community Team who loves to write.

No fancy, marketing lingo capable of starting a train of ZzzZz in the most caffeinated person alive, but a conversation with anyone who takes part; a thread where you link the best that happened around these boards during the last few days, or perhaps weeks.

Make it a direct, open line of conversation, be around to read the replies and interact with those who will take time out of their busy lives to read and to reply. Promote the good content that was published with an official stamp and the spontaneous one that arrived from an inspired mind.

It’s a good thing when you have a Community that shares so much good content that others don’t have enough time to read it all. Make this series of threads the perfect companion for a coffee or a snack during the weekend, giving members an added chance to not miss a single piece - not only people will be informed, but Nothing will pass the message to the highest number of members who are always potential customers.

And end each “digest” with a paragraph dedicated to the future. Some of us know what you are working on because we are here an ungodly amount of time. Well, end those threads with a “and in the next couple of days/weeks we’ll have this, we’ll tackle those, we’ll make that happen”.

A condensed way of making sure the best threads reach their purpose: to be read by a lot of members, to instigate the sense of a thriving Community, to sponsor a glimpse of the future.

It’s true that even the most frequent visitor to the Community may have a busy weekend or holiday that prevents them from getting their Nothing fix - for that reason alone, I think an easily located, regular digest is a superb idea. I would hope for these to be, as you mentioned, super digestible; with images, links videos, and quotes to bring them to life.

Kastello Surya_8055 Many thanks for the kind words, good people. Happy to help kick-starting this place; if the forums become a little better with our ideas, everyone wins.

We should write a book about these forums as a Community. Here’s my suggestion for the title: “Nothing Inside”. 😆

      Thank you, Archive (bot)

Your last paragraph is the perfect continuation of this brainstorm. I would love to see the guest appearances. Your examples would make that “digest” even more interesting, infusing it not just with a new perspective, but with yet another reason for interactions.

If that happens, I would love if the guests start the thread with a paragraph dedicated to themselves. Those weeks, then, would have more than one flow of thinking and interest.

Rob ⚡️ Exactly, people who pay attention to the nuances, like you and me, can smell the PR-shtick miles away.

This on-going series of threads would have to work like you mentioned: no corporate interference, just a friendly recap of the week with some exclusive tidbits sprinkled weekly.

That way, even the members who consider themselves up to speed, would create the habit of opening those threads: to check, to discover, to simply hang out with friends while the Nothing mantra is reinvigorated.

I think this is an awesome idea and would be great to have it implemented. I have had some of the busiest weeks of my life recently between school, work, and everything else that I haven’t been able to be in the forum participating. Still, I feel disappointed that I have to miss out on the majority of the good dialogue in here.

One thing I can add that may be helpful for a digest section like suggested: Implement some sort of a cap on length of the posts. One reason so many people go to Twitter for news is because it’s so quick, and it has to be because of their character limit that they’ve kept for so long. I think that would be a great attribute to borrow.

SteveW I completely agree with you about availability fluctuations.

Any member may have a more relaxing week just to be swamped with work, school and/or family tasks the next one.

It’s exactly like you mentioned, if you open the forums and you have ten new threads waiting for you, it can be overwhelming. A series like this one could work as a hub, making sure that the member has a sense of not missing out on anything after browsing it.

About implementing a limit of characters, I don’t know if that’s possible. However, Rudi could start a new thread, even if it is just for consultation, on the “Community Essentials”. I think the length should depend on the type of message you’re sharing.

It’s true that we have a few useful tips & tricks shared by David. But they are the basics, so perhaps a new thread could work as a more advanced version of them, introducing us to a deeper netiquette according to Nothing’s vision for the Community.

I too would really need a summary of what has happened during the last week or so, as I don’t have the time (right now in my life) to keep up with every new post that is happening in this amazing community. I for sure would like to get all the amazing details in a summarized form as a complement to my own reading, and be able to find those threads that have been highlighted in such a summary with ease so I can contribute if I got something on my mind when skimming/watching through the summary!

You’re really onto something. I really hope this could become reality!

FilipJacobson That is a really good point, because for people who are having a busy week, seeing a thread linked in one of those “digests” would naturally imply that the thread starter did a good job curating the list.

I believe that we’ll get to a point where quantity and quality will be constant during whole weeks. I believe those threads can also be an open invitation for members to share a thread or two they loved and were not mentioned.

And you brought up something that I completely agree with at the end of your message. Those threads can also make it easier not only to get informed, but also to participate. If you have one hour available and you spend that hour searching for interesting threads, the time allocated to actually contribute will be severed.

Thank you for your message, I love that you liked the idea. Here’s to many more.

Rob ⚡️ to some sections previously I can’t reply and now I was able to reply . Is there any changes brought to community?
