I totally agree with the request above to be able to do somehting else once having set a timer - why can’t the timer just run in the background, and let me get on with doing something else with my watch?
It’s not just limited to the timer though - having set an activity such as an outdoor walk, if I want to see what time it is, I need to take my phone out of my pocket to check - surely this is a basic functionality that seems to have been overlooked? Maybe there is a way to have these functions working in tandem? No clues in my experience though.
Main issue I have though, having left behind my Samsung Galaxy phone and watch is the isolated health data with apparently zero integration into anything useful in order to use the information captured by the watch in regard to sleep, steps etc.
I get it - this watch cost a fraction of my previous smart watch, but if it can’t do what I consider to be the basics, it might be going in the drawer of all the other tech that didn’t quite do what it promised that I’ve bought over the years!
Health Connect integration would be really useful, as a middleware to segue the stats into other apps like MyFitnessPal etc.
