blank_de_java the problem with basic phosphorescent material is, it’s glowing all the time, so it not store energy, tritium is radioactive so it’s glowing on different basics, but this material is super expensive and company have to got license to use this material all watch makers have to got license for this and also if your phone break, you can lick material probably nothing gonna happen, but I think even if someone gonna repair it, with tritium you have to got like regulations working with this materials, repairman etc.
Have you ever got phosphorescent toy? Was it glowing all night long? Probably not, and how thick was that toy? Probably couple centimeters so it got plenty material, imagine this material thin in back case. The whole idea about led on the phone is to got option control it, why you gonna put something on the phone what you can’t control?
I got toy on my desk which is phosphorescent, and no way that toy is glowing like on that picture or last hours, it’s on the desk but as sun goes down this thing is not even visible in the night, but when I light up my light wait like 30 minutes it will charge, turn light off and It will die in 30 minutes maybe 1 hour.
