awesome to read your message here and many congratulations on finally getting the ear (1).

Hah, it’s a very good moment to receive them as just the other day they were updated with a new feature, “Latency Mode”. Update away. 🤓

But how was the experience since our last messages? Back then you were having troubles getting a reply to your emails.

Hope all is well now and that you can enjoy them.

I had sent another email a week ago and I got a reply. I was also sent a $20 refund which was nice. I’m enjoying my ear1s.

As for the low latency mode, they work well when I’m watching a video but still don’t quiet get the job done with gaming. Test them out on this game. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glu.baseball21

Whenever you hit a baseball, there is a big delay. Hopefully a future update can make this a little better.

I think that is not possible even with Bluetooth 5.2. Bluetooth still have latency issues. Unless you are in an ecosystem like APPLE or ONEPLUS. Their products are launched with the support of their own mobiles. If you even consider Sony’s high end TWS you get latency issues.

We hope in the coming generations of bluetooth they solve latency issues.

I don’t know if we have members from Malaysia on the forums yet, but this morning Nothing published a message on Twitter informing that it has started selling the ear (1) in the country.

As you can see in the tweet below, they’ll be sold through Shopee Malaysia and in “selected authorized retail stores”.

It’s also interesting that it’s teased in the message the expansion to more markets, with Nothing asking “where do we go next”?

Some months late to the party…

My ear (1) black are arriving soon! Hopefully, at the beginning of next week.

So far, my experience has been perfect, especially the nice touch of translating the site and all communications to Spanish. As a curiosity, the emails are signed by “Nothing España”.

They left the facilities on Monday, and they are taking a trip through Europe, courtesy of UPS, starting in Poland. Nice idea, to acclimate them to the cold weather. 🥶

Wow, so fast! What kind of magic did you do? Mine are still enjoying their journey through Europe. Arriving Monday according to the tracking site. 🛩️

Pleased to report that I received my ear (1) black today. Quickly downloaded the app and updated it. My initial impression of the sound was HFS!!! I’ll be honest, I really wasn’t expecting them to deliver as much power as they did for such little buds.

Previous experience of buds for me include the OnePlus Buds, which were my primary ‘work’ earphones just for video calls, and a pair of Anker Soundcore A1 buds, which were my ‘commuting/running’ buds and delivered quite a bit of bass. Nothing has ultimately just blown both of these away 😮

The case and buds are actually a lot smaller than I was expecting (which is a good thing). Plus I enjoyed the whole fast pairing and the comfyness of how they feel at the moment in my ears.

Looking forward to using these a lot more and giving a bit more of an updated report after some more consistent use. Signs so far are incredibly impressive, good job team!

Reindeer neighbor wizardry worked! They are here, near me, puppy eyes and everything, begging me to take them out.

I will report back, but… So far, I’m still trying to interiorize how tiny they are. And the box, oh lord, I wasn’t expecting it to be this small.

Maybe we are all giants? Because they fit perfectly on my “giant” ears. 🤭

I haven’t had the time to try them much, but so far I haven’t encountered any bug, and the time I’ve used them has been perfect. The ANC and switching between it and transparency, worked perfectly too.

Though I believe I have been looking at them for longer, and exposing them to the lens. 📷

Well after using my ear(1) for a month mainly on my lunchtime runs, 2 of the in pouring rain I can safely say I’M A 100% FANBOY! They’ve never popped out of my ear, the ANC is fantastic and sound amazing.

If I lost them tomorrow I’d re-order in a heartbeat!

I love NOTHING. 🙂
