Hi guys,

I picked up a nothing phone (2) last month and I’ve been loving it so far but the messenger Bubbles not working is really getting to me at the moment.

Not sure if anyone has come across this and may have a fix for me but here’s what I’ve done:

Made sure my bubbles are enables in BOTH settings and messenger
I’ve enabled all conversations bubbling, when that didn’t work I tried with specific people and it still doesn’t work
I opened a bubble through messenger by going into the person’s profile in the chat and clicking ‘open as bubble’
I have made sure that ‘display over other apps’ is enabled for messenger
I have prioritised messenger notifications as well
Yes I HAVE restarted my device

Now here’s what keeps happening:

Sometimes the conversation will bubble randomly and then disappear upon another notification
When opening a bubble conversation through messenger itself, the same happens. When they send s message the bubble closes automatically.
Normal text messages work absolutely fine, then when I go to add a recent bubble, messenger doesn’t even show up as an option

This is more of an annoyance than actual functionality but if my 6 year old Samsung could do it since new I don’t see why nothing OS is having so much trouble with it.

Is this something that someone has come across before?

And does nothing OS 3 fix this problem? I’m on nothing OS 2.6

Update (kind of):

So I’ve reinstalled messenger and now the bubbles work after enabling chat headers, however they’re not joined in the same bubbles as my phone messages?

Kind of a fix, but it would be nice to have it in the same bubble

Update 2: randomly stopped working again and bubbles option is back on messenger….
