Ceramic driver used when compared to phone 2 and still be able to achive better sound quality and ENC
I liked the drivers 11mm driver & Ceramic diaphragm ( sound would be amazing)
Also the transparent design is love…
Rob The earbud steam looks well made, I can see all the parts very well, including the PCBA, and a transparent look seems amazing under my standards. And for the case PCBA, I now know how exactly this whole thing functions. Considering the pairing button sends signals to the inductor, and the USB-C port (when charging) sends signals to the charge chip, I can see how my everyday devices charge now.
For the inside of the case, that battery may feel light, but it is t h i c c. Like, very t h i c c. And that part for some reason looks like a beetle with a long neck.
The wireless charge coil also looks like a very fun race track , but I digress.
For the inside of the ear, I didn’t noticed the FPC within it and assumed it was playing hide and seek with me. And the touch sensor may need some work done. Oh, and 46 mAh? That’s pretty short, I would like it if it was somewhere around 75-100, but you do you I guess.
I wanna give massive props to Nothing for showing how they achieved this transparent design under various circumstances, and how their sound quality is almost identical to the AirPods Pro.
What amuses me is the fact that there are more separate components inside the small earbud than the larger case. The word design now makes me think more than just the outer appearance, about how these components are engineered to come together while maintaining the appearance, to provide sound worth praising.
Rob For me it was the PCB, custom PCBs are hard to make and the cool thing is the PCB is the same shape as the nothing ear .
The engineering Marvel is not the single parts but how everything comes together in this functional , beautifully looking package.
Rob The transmission case and the
Rob Always it’s iconic appearance is the transparent charge case with its aesthetically pleasing unibody design; it’s made from a pressure resistant PU material, with light transmission for a glass-like appearance. The new features added in it is alsoo a great thing didn’t know there was this much layes lol
Rob I have the CMF Buds Pro anyways but I guess I could gift this to my father or mother. Thanks!
The part i appreciated the most of the teardown it’s about the PCBAs, fascinating to know that there are so many things in such small pieces of tech.
The intricate folding of the Flexible Printed Circuits (FPCs) inside the earbuds truly impressed me. It’s remarkable how they seamlessly bridge all components, like batteries and drivers, enhancing both functionality and design. This attention to detail showcases the meticulous engineering behind Nothing Ear, making me appreciate its craftsmanship even more.
Rob I liked the teardown of the ear buds itself. The way batteries are shaped and the ceramic drivers with 4 airflow vent!
That is looking very nice ! Good job !
The FPC size compared to the ear is surprising, counting that there are the antenna module, the PCB, the touch sensors and microphone too. It a super compact amazing device.
I also appreciate the smaller case with the writing directly on the white components instead of the clear shell. The red dot accent in there is super useful and nice.
This post has helped me to appreciate how many components go into a pair of Nothing headphones. The tolerances for some these parts are amazing. I’m particularly struck by the fact the FPC folds inside each ear bud, linking all the component parts together.
Rob i m fan of nothing and the team ,grt work and grt innovation
The transparent design of the nothing case seems aesthetically pleasing with minimalistic use of colour to make it look good. Moreover the drivers and the sound quality of Nothing Ear is remarkable.
Kastello despite its small size having such a good ANC and good battery life with such a good ceramic driver is crazy for the price they are offering would live to own a pair of those
