Rob ⚡️ It’s insane how you have managed to fit all that PCB into such a small earbud, and paired with how the wireless charging coil is fit into that narrow corridor it’s easy to see how effective nothing is at fitting a big package in a small footprint

The sheer scale of the USB-C port on the PCB of the case really made me appreciate how tiny these things are and the amount of engineering goes into this tiny piece of hardware 🙌

Stuff like the ceramic drivers, wireless charging plus my favourite- the transparent but minimal design (this is not even buterring but I’m in love with your designs since I first saw sneek peaks of phone 1 in around december 2021)

For what I like from your teardown is the way u hv presented each and every component of the buds and explained how each thing was assembled and ofc I’m fascinated by the efficiency in placing each component on the pcb(no space on the pcb is wasted)

Slide touch area to adjust the volume would’ve been🫰. Please make it happen if it can be done through OTA updates.

For me its definitely the fact that we get to see all the attention to detail. Things like airflow never even crossed my mind when thinking about an earphone, when you read something like that you really come to appreciate the product. The attention to detail and probably hours of work it took just so they could increase the airflow is something that goes over your head completely when thinking about the product. I think this highlights the nothing mentality even more.

Rob ⚡️ Most of all in the new headphones I liked the addition of two codecs, ldac and lhdc, I am always in favor of headphones and devices having the maximum software combination. Rob ⚡️ It has blown my mind how Nothing conjured up four layers so neatly within the stem housing. All this time, I only thought it as a single layer with all the components planted on a side and then covered up to attain the legacy look. But that is not all, my attention is drawn by the minimal elements of the ear case. Look at them again, that however minimal, they still end up purposely adequate. The ear case has really fell in with my minimalist taste, while also classic.

For sure, the teardown images are enjoyable!

I really like the elements of the ear case and the transparency of the elements used in the case which gives the whole thing it’s individuality, also the colour coding of red and black for two buds to determine which ear it fits is just added more finesse to the product. It doesn’t matter what colour, any colour of Nothing ear will do. Thank you.

Rob ⚡️ Even though I di know that PCBs can be in different shapes and sizes, whenever I think about it, I always see a simple, square PCB. Space management is important in electronic products of this size and I’m astonished how team fit it all on such an irregular PCB shape!

Thanks for putting this together I loved and appreciated all of the content as an engineer and fan boy and took a lot of inspiration from this content.
