Community Edition - Stage 3 Submissions Now Closed

stealth not necessarily latest submissions will show on top. I am working on an unofficial Nothing community app and I realized that the entry list will eventually shuffle during voting days, @Rob may confirm this.

I think that submission days are way too many, I would prefer 2 weeks to work on the submissions and 3 to 5 days to submit.

Mirko_ddd Oh that’s a good thing. I didn’t know they shuffle the entry during voting. I joined the community only recently due to the CMF phone 1 announcement. So this is like the first time I will be voting and having that experience of this community project.

I think the submission time was quite appropriate. I feel like people held their submissions in fear their ideas will be taken or implemented in some other way. I think that is pretty evident from the way some submissions have been inspired by the early ones.

stealth I think that reducing the submissions time would reduce the probability to “copy” others work (if there’s a chance, I am not telling anybody is copying anyone). But at least we can avoid checking repeatedly the submissions and find anything new until the end

Hello I’m Umang, an Industrial Designer based in UK and India. This community really brings out the competitive energy and it was the very reason behind my motivation to participate. The theme of the phone’s design and wallpaper so distinctively represent Nothing’s DNA, it sort of brings out the fun element back to technology.

My inspiration was heavily derived from my childhood space fantasies and the urge to belong to a community. I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic of the glow in the dark stars and moon stickers on our walls. Usually it consoles a kid at night to not be scared, but fun at the same time. I just felt like bringing the same connection to the packaging concept. Since Nothing is heavily driven by its community, a message that reminds us of being a part of this community is hidden as a glow at night component in the packaging. Not entirely revealing of the Phone’s feature to do the same but a cue and a souvenir. The poster/sticker can be used anywhere from a wallpaper on your work desk, a sticker on the back of your laptop or even on your bedroom wall. chandrasekaran_k I think you didn’t check the submission gallery. All 65 entries were not made live on the last day. They were getting added as they were being uploaded and approved. So no, the chance of a later submission taking inspiration from the early ones was always present.
