Hello Since the new update I get the NFC symbol constantly and I can’t find a way to get rid of it. Does anyone know if there’s a way or is that a bug?
📱 Phone (2) - Nothing OS 2.5.6 Changelog
Well with the update the heating issue while gaming is still there. It all started from 2.5.5 and it is continuing with 2.5.6. The only thing that improved is there are no frame drops until 40 C. Earlier on 2.5.5 mobile would start dropping frames and lagging from 38-39 C. These are my initial impressions.
The icon just shows that NFC is enabled. You can change which icons are visible via Settings > Display > Status Bar

Yay I can use my phone for work again when i get the update! Was ready to abandon Nothing (2) and go back to Pixel or OnePlus but will keep it because i really like it. 
Still think the security patches should be released when they come out and not only baked in a OS update…

Rare you mean status bar yea , I do prefer to see that , true full screen experience
Need to fix wallpaper studio app. The actual wallpaper fit is different than shown in preview after wallpaper creation.
I would really love a gallery app from nothing, a music app from nothing as well!
Hopefully its in the works, I don’t like Google to hold my photos or third party, if its on my phone it stays in my phone………
I waiting for the gallery app!! Please do that ASAP.

After i updated my nothing phone 2 to the latest 2.5.6 update, my phone is not able to detect the simcard, I even tried changing from sim 1 to sim 2 but still the same issue. Please let me know if anyone else is facing this issue

arpan2308 Hi, Im facing a problem after updating to the new update. The sim card is not being detected in the phone after the update. Tried restarting multiple time but still the same issue, any solutions that u may recommend?
@RuudHesp Not so constant updates literally 55 days. These can be reduced to half. Btw yeh there are still features missing from 2a.
kanakdesai have not noticed any such issue. Try using some other sim card in phone2 and your sim card in some other phone, so to confirm which particular thing has the issue - phone2 or sim card. In case, you confirm that phone has an issue, I suggest visiting Nothing service center once.
kanakdesai Here’s what worked for me:
1.Reset network settings (you might need to do this a couple of times).
2.Reboot your Nothing Phone 2.
3.Clear the cache of the “Carrier Services” app (if you have it).
After doing these steps, my phone finally received full signal & switched to 5G! Let me know if this helps anyone else facing the same problem.
