Thanks Rob!

Eventually the buds and the case actually did went out of battery and after that I could recharge it, pair it and now everything is back to normal again. Some kind of bug I guess..

hmm, that “reset-procedure” was new to me. I found on nothing.tech that the device resets by pressing the button for 30sec with the buds in the case and lid shut😉

anyways, they are back and I’m happy🙂 even though I’m quite disappointed that I haven’t heard back from their support yet…

TBC!

Thanks!

    Bass

Ah, I’m glad to hear you’re back up and running!

I did try the 30sec hold reset, but didn’t notice any effect! I tried with the lid open and noticed my earphones unpaired after 10 seconds…maybe this is a different feature 😆

Let us know what support says when they get back to you!

I received a pair of Galaxy Buds Pro with my new phone and I have to say, while I previously called Nothing Ear(1) trash - I apologize. The Buds Pro are even worse. The case is smaller which is awesome, but otherwise, they don’t sit well in the right ear, and noise cancelling is abysmal compared to the Ear(1). Overall, over the months, I think the firmware updates made a big difference on Ear(1).

sman I agree the Ear(1)'s were extremely immature when it was launched. They had once postponed the launch of Ear(1)'s, so I guess they didn’t want to postpone the launch further as It wont look good, and as a result rolled out a product which had some pretty annoying bugs.

It is also true that they have worked relentlessly on the Ear(1)'s, and pushed several updates to point Ear(1)'s are solid as a rock (Unless one got a faulty pair which has quality control issue) .

Kudos to the team, and Ear(1)'s in its current form are genuinely a steal for its price. I hope they take some learnings from Ear(1) to roll out soild products from Day 1.

I think that you can not compare the Buds Pro, which Samsung produces with the R&D resources they have, with the Ears(1). Samsung has so much hindsight and can constantly analyze the bugs, what to do or not to do, that it is not comparable.

I own several earphones, like a number of members, and comparing the Buds Pro from OnePlus and the Ears(1) in terms of quality, I prefer the Ears(1).

I think that the next earphones will have to be excellent and as original as the Ears(1), otherwise Nothing will risk losing some of its notoriety.

Sib64 I don’t know whom you have replied to, but i haven’t compared Nothing Ear(1)'s to Galaxy Buds Pro. Regarding Nothing Ear(1)'s, they had absolutely hurried the launch which is unexpected of them. For a capital intensive business, where first impression is the last impression, you cannot roll out a product on which you haven’t had enough feedback.

For the Design Masterclass the Nothing Ear(1)'s are, they have sold way less Ear(1)'s owing to the negativity it got for the bugs. But credit to them, they have worked hard, listened carefully to user feedbacks and improved on it. The issues were never about sound (It sounds as good as it can possibly be) but about the overall usability.

That was just my impressions, and I responded to both of you. This is me comparing the Galaxy Buds, OnePlus Buds Pro and Ears(1).

Since @sman was comparing the Galaxy Buds to the Ears(1). I was just explaining, that even though Nothing released the Ears(1) prematurely, the means are different between Samsung and Nothing at the R&D level.

Finally, I was trying to bring it down to a more appropriate scale with OnePlus
