I’d love if you could give the GitHub link as you’re allowed to! I wanna try it out on a 2A
Glyphify - A multipurpose Glyph app
puhbu exactly bro

I’m glad everyone is this excited!
I managed to squash some bugs and test the app for Phone(2) and I can confirm it works.
At the time of writing is important to notice that:
- Use “simpler” songs for the best results: higher BPM or songs with lyrics tend to make the effect less accurate
- There’s no preview of the Glyph effect built in the app (I’ll add it in next version), once you have applied the ringtone go into android settings to play it on the actual Glyph interface
- Android settings/Composer app glyph preview is bugged and doesn’t represent the final result
- No tests were made on Phone(2a) so if you try the app give me a feedback here or on GitHub by opening an issue
Any suggestions or bug report is appreciated. If you like my work consider supporting me by starring the review on GitHub or by making this thread relevant to the admins: if we get enough attention this feature could be built into the Nothing Composer app.
Finally, here are the links:
Hey
Nice work, I think a lot of people are going to love a simple and easy to use tool such as this.
I’ve just tried a few tracks myself on my phone (2a) and the results are really promising.
I have noticed some of the current bugs as mentioned above. It would be great to get the previews working correctly, including in the composer app. Currently it’s just a constant strobe.
I wasn’t too sure about giving system access in order to apply the ringtone so instead I went to my ringtone settings and applied the ringtone via the .ogg file that was generated using the glyphify app.
I also noticed that when writing a name for the file it’s black text on a black background.
Other than that I’m going to continue testing on my 2a, really promising work
Why does its named Gliphify instead of Glyphify in the app?
Derren I’m glad you like it and that it also works in Phone(2a).
The permission to change system settings is inevitable in order for the app to set the ringtone, it’s enforced by Android.
I’m looking to fix the strobe problem but it’s quite a pickle, the preview in the app will be added soon and the name not showing in the dialog is due to Light mode (I’ll fix it asap).
Thx for the feedback
muhkuhaushonolulu Definitely a typo which I didn’t notice, thanks for bringing that up

@Fr4nKB this is awesome and exactly what I was waiting for but you need to add a way to donate after the initial install, maybe a button in the top right corner so folks can donate after testing, works great!
beastobadness This is one for @Fr4nKB as i myself do not have any input on the project
Derren Yes got my wires crossed, apologies and fixed
It’s working well in Nothing 2a mobile also thanks bro
Omg you’re gem give us a final gold release this will be next level
Really cool idea

is it intended to be 185 mb?; the new update, i mean
edit: i thought the older versions were less than 100 mb, im just a bit too dumb loll; the multiple light effect presets sounds interesting, looking forward to them if you ever do make them!
