v1.4.1 has some bugs in Glyph Visualizer, I’ll publish a hotfix in a few minutes

To avoid this issues in future I’ll publish pre-release updates, clearly my tests are limited and I can miss some things here and there. From now on, be sure to check for “pre-release updates” here if you want to help me in development.. this will grant a smoother experience once updates are ready.

MarkFrancis if you tap the update notification you will be directed to the download page with all the changes, maybe next version I’ll include some of the changes directly into the notification

Hello, I have noticed that the Glyph notifications ignore both Bedtime mode and Turning off the Glyph Lights in the Glyph Interface. The issue is in the fact that if I get an email during the night or whatever notification, the LED will stay on for the full duration of the night (which is something I want to avoid due to wear-and-tear). The only solution I’ve found is force turning off the app before going to sleep.

Daniel Slovák this is a feature requested by many, I’ll introduce it next version.

SimonWyatt It’s not supposed to handle this big of a file. If you can, trim it to the part you are interested in. Regarding glyph visualization, are you on the latest version (v1.4.1.1 hotfix)?

Fr4nKB hey man, I absolutely love this app and have been using it daily. Only one thing that I think is being missed is, everytime I import a sound and glyphify it with the same settings, the glyph pattern changes for each of them. Suppose I have the same ringtone (r1 and r2) both made using glyphify using the same settings, the glyph pattern for both is different. Is this intentional?

Great algorithm, I do think it’s a big improvement on the built-in audio interpreter.
I’m seeing two issues:
1. FLAC files can be converted into .ogg but don’t seem to process into a glyph track. Could be a filesize issue? My files are over 50MB
2. I’m not seeing the glyphs when I play the ringtone in the glyphify app. I have to play the file in another audio app.

Fr4nKB Fair comment on the filesize, you might want to add a check when analysing and reject files that are too large

33 zones should be only available for Phone(2), (2a) doesn’t even have 33 zones but 26 which are always used by default. The glyph not turning all the way down is strange since there is a delay of 4 seconds between pulsing, can you share a video of this? Are these notifications from an app or a contact? You can force stop the app to reset it

I want just one glyph light to glow(top cross glyph) for all my ringtones.I dont like when all the glyph lights are blinking when my Phone rings. I am using phone 1

1.4.1.1 hotfix is working well!

However, I have a few suggestions:

1. In pulse mode, the LED doesn’t turn off completely—it doesn’t go all the way down. If possible, please address this.

2. After this hotfix, the 33zone feature is no longer available on Phone 2A.

3. Even after clearing notifications, the assigned Glyph doesn’t turn off.

I’ve assigned this glyph with app called signal

Whenever i recieved any notification on signal, glyph works as intended but as you can see in this video it doesn’t go all the way down with pulse effect!

What are 33 zones and 5 zones?

5 zones mode uses glyphs like in Phone(1), 33 zones uses all Phone(2) zones

How are the zones made up? There are eleven visible glyphs on Phone 2, are they sub-divided into three zones, or is it more complex?

All the official information is here but yes, basically Glyphify treats it as “11 zones” but in order to do that it needs to consider all 33 zones.

(2a) is similar with 3 zones but actually 26 since the variable glyph has 24 by itself

RedSkul×HYDRA Glad it works for that too. Unfortunately that would be too much work to implement, sorry. Maybe if i ever get to release a Glyph Studio type of thing it will be possible.

muhkuhaushonolulu That’s something I though about too, it shouldn’t be that hard but since some people will want to use it in it’s entirety I would have to provide a way to toggle between the modes. Will see..

Fr4nKB Hey, I tried glyphifying a sound for notification. It works flawlessly, it’ll be great if we could modify the number of loops it lights up for. Currently it loops the glyph lights 4 times, which sometimes confuses me for a call lol.
