ThomasBurchett this was my first thought, trying to get used to a lack of headphone jack and as a musician really into sampling this would be awesome!
CMF Phone 1 - A Platform for Builders
Rob Hey, just giving you haeds up that both .STP and and .STL files are showing issue with floating regions when sliced up for 3D printing.
This is fixable (if one knows what to do) but not great.
* As Bambu lab yesterday announced (or rather - gave teaser / hints) about upcoming contest and if these files will be used as a base for it (shared to community) that might turn to grand “spaghetti contest” very fast. Just something to look into.
Hey
Thanks for raising your feedback regarding the files.
Based on my own experience with the files and feedback from some other members of the community, I’ve not yet heard about any unexpected occurrences while printing (other than some optimising, cleaning up, and generally just some trial and error to get the best print)
Could you please elaborate and include any examples that you may have? It would be extremely helpful.
Derren Sure. Few issues I had instantly:
— When attempting to export to STL or 3MF from STP using Shapr3D - unable to export file. Will try with Fusion360 in a moment.
— Floating regions when slicing provided STL file in Orca slicer or Bambu studio. Check link with example: https://share.cleanshot.com/200fqdws
Ichikawa hello kind sir. Do you have any files for this?? I’d love to get this phone and that is a dope concept.

If anyone is making the backs im interested in buying atleast 10 of them . I want to design them myself . You can just leave them the the way they come out of the printer .
KenBrownstone what are you looking for?
Just want plain backs that i can design . Wanna try to use epoxy on them .

Is it possible to buy 4 original silver screw? Idea, gold accents and 3d printer case.
What type of threads are the screws ? I have millions of screws at my work, we sell hardware in the bulk. But I just need thread type before I get some haha
KenBrownstone I can do that. Though currently I’m using a textured build plate, so the rear isn’t smooth.
Rob Just as an idea for some of the better creators out there, how about an Adapter, that you can screw onto the back of the case, so that it doesn’t matter, which charging port you have. I have no idea, whether this could/would actually work, but if it did it would probably be the most useful add-on, since you could just use any left over charging cable and wouldn’t always need to get a new one
LaurenceKeir thats cool ..You got a picture …
