I love your products. I personally use nothing phone 1 and ear (a) as my ecosystem. I have a curious doubt to be asked. I am from india, my mother needs a new phone. i suggested her the nothing phone 2a. Her first question was is the brand have service center?. How should i convence her to get nothing.

Hey everyone, I’m seriously considering the Nothing Phone as my next device and would love to get some firsthand insight.

I’ve heard a lot about its unique design and minimalist vibe, especially the Glyph interface—it looks super cool in videos, but how does it hold up in daily use? For example, do the lights actually make notifications or calls more convenient, or does it feel more like a novelty over time?

Also, what’s your take on the overall user experience? How does the interface compare to other phones in terms of smoothness and customization? I’m curious about how it stacks up to iOS, for instance. On my current phone, I use Scarlet from the iOS App Store quite a bit—it’s been great for installing mod games and apps. Would I miss apps like that if I made the switch?

And for those of you who’ve used the Nothing Phone for a while, have you noticed any hidden gems or unexpected challenges? Battery life, camera performance, or even build quality—anything worth sharing would be awesome!

I’m really curious to hear about the practical side of owning this phone. Thanks in advance for sharing your thought.

In my opinion, it’s 50/50. I’ve been using the Phone (2a) since April. The Glyphs are really helpful when it comes to notifications—you can simply ignore checking your phone if that important light isn’t lit.

Anyway, I’m now thinking about switching to a MacBook. If I do, I’ll most likely switch to an iPhone to take advantage of their ecosystem.

I’ve been a loyal Realme user for over two years, but my phone is finally showing its age. As I consider upgrading, I’m torn between opting for the Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition now or waiting for the upcoming Nothing Phone 3 launch. Honestly, I’m struggling to make up my mind! Can you guys pls help me out?

Connor u have better options available in the market . Samsung s24, Oneplus 12, Google pixel 9, vivo x200 with great camera and processor with lots of AI features.

Connor What are you missing if you don’t have iMessage?, I have been using Android for aeons and unless you download apps that are from nefarious sites as stated by @Ealesy101

Both ecosystems help you achieve everything that you would need to do on a phone on a daily. It’s like getting used to the indicator stalk either being on the left or the right.

I don’t see the advantage of the Nothing phones over the CMF Phone 1. The photography is mediocre on all NOTHING phones. The glyph interface is actually quite cool but underused.

We have a OnePlus 12 in the house and photography is stellar for 649 GBP, which isn’t that much more than a NP2a plus.

If I was going to buy a non-photography phone, the CMF1 does 99.9% of what all NOTHING phone do, so that would be my choice again.

I run all Apple hardware (non-phones) for personal use and Linux with 2-12 GPUs per machine for professional usage.

As far as the NothingOS experience goes, it is extremely solid (photography aside, which is merely adequate.)

      Hey CMF Hacker,

So after careful consideration and reading all comments, I went for the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus for the following reasons below.

      1. NFC Chip (Contactless Payments)
      2. Photography (3× 50MP Camera)
      3. 12GB RAM + 8GB Virtual Ram (20GB RAM) at 120hz Display
      4. Shiny back compared to Nothing Phone 2a.
      5. Quick Fast Charging.

Overall, since having my phone I’m in love with it and I cannot wait to get the next phone they launch. I have to say that I’m in love with the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. Here’s to many more years with, well. Nothing! 😅
