Rob ⚡️ I remember Carl saying “we should make less and better phones” and when he said that, Nothing was making one phone a year. Now it just went from 1 to 4 phone a year? My guess is you wouldn’t be able to handle those much of phones with their updates and everything in long term and it would make you fail. anyway … wish you well.

Another phone…? What for?

I have to wonder, what can Nothing add/upgrade on the (2a) without it becoming a clone of the (2)?

Could be a larger phone, but why would they do that when there is seemingly greater demand for more compact phones?

I’m thinking larger memory and RAM (to 512GB 16GB), faster (65W) wired charging, and perhaps coloured Glyphs (although, if they were going to do that it should have be included in the coloured Special Edition)? Could be a discounted (2a) bundle that includes a charger, etc.

Or could the (2a) Plus be a (2a) with a removable section (à la CMF Phone 1) below the Glyphs, where accessories can be attached (“Plus. More. Extra.”).

The banner looks like a vinyl, so is this a music-centric device with better speakers and a headphone jack?

sean (1) Yeah now they are just launching new phones without any second thought. First, they launched CMF phone 1 very close to Nothing phone 2a with a few cutdown features like no stereo speakers and 12MP wide lens, etc at a very reasonable price just after a few months of the phone 2a launch. And now phone 2a plus! This is so messed up. As a consumer, this is so dissatisfactory.

sean (1) Great speculations man, I too wonder what more editions of phone 2a’s are they planning to launch. It seems as if there’s a complete multiverse of phone 2a with each variant rolling out one after the other 😂. At this point they should just reserve the plus for next year, I think they should just focus on limited devices and bring about the changes(that users demand) in next patches and make a good product with all the feedback they recieve from the community the next year. I don’t see the need for this extensive lineup of devices with minimal upgrades over the last one. This kind of goes against their own vision.

Can’t be, because it’s a (2a) Plus and not a (2) Plus. It’s weird. An upgraded (2a) is (2), which makes me think there is something different about this phone rather than it simply being better specs.

But why not reserve it for the phone (3)?

Nothing giving an unique features in there smartphone that distinguish the brand from competitors.
Nothing Generally Focus on seamless integration of there software, offering a smooth user experience in there phones.
Nothing Offer a range of products at different price so that a low rich people can buy nothing phones and experience the stock Android and there glyph interface.
Nothing Generally make transparent design smartphone.
So what do you expect from there upcoming smartphone i.e nothing phone 2a (+)Plus

Unless there is some form of issue with the plastic, why bother at this stage in the lifecycle? The only other reason I can think of is so Nothing can claim they are using less plastic in its products, which I think is a very good thing for any company where it’s genuine, but if using plastic was Nothing’s concern, why make the (2a) in plastic in the first place, and why launch a plastic CMF phone with plastic accessories and interchangable plastic cases?

I think the (2a) Plus is more than just a change of material.
