Have you recently received your brand-new ear (1)? Then you must download the ear (1) iOS/Android app today to unlock everything your earbuds can do! Keep it updated so you never miss out on new features and improvements.

We’ve recently released V.1.06 of the app, which gives you access to new firmware updates that make ear (1) even better.

Call connectivity has been boosted to make meetings a breeze. We’ve also strengthened ear (1)’s connectivity and sound quality in busy environments with lots of Bluetooth interference. That way, your listening experience stays rich and consistent, wherever you are.

Here are even more improvements:

We’ve improved in-ear detection — ear (1) will now play a noise when you put just one earbud in your ear.
Battery display is more precise so you’ll never be caught off-guard.
The ‘Find My Earbud’ function in the app will now only prompt the misplaced earbud to play a sound out loud. The earbud that’s in your ear will stay silent to make it easier to hear and find the one that’s lost.
To keep things simple, ear (1)’s Bluetooth display name is now, you guessed it, ‘Nothing ear (1)’.
We’ve fixed other minor bugs to keep ear (1) performing at its best.

To enjoy all of ear (1)’s new updates, open the app, tap on the top right-hand corner menu and select firmware update.

thank you for starting the conversation.

Well, I have the app downloaded and updated, only missing the ear (1) now - you have to start somewhere, hah. 🤓

This is a good place for us to share the changelogs of future updates, however, I would recommend a Staff Member to start a new, official thread for the firmware updates of the ear (1) themselves.

If you are planning to have a single thread with all the changelogs, perhaps stick the post with the most recent one so people know exactly what the discussion is about at any given moment.

That way, we could share impressions and feedback in a single conversation. I believe that would be way easier for the company to check how the update is being received - or perhaps start a new thread per update, if you want to have more centralized opinions.

And please consider opening a beta channel for the app, even if it is within the digital stores if you don’t want to deal with special APKs at this point. Regarding beta testing, please spare a few minutes to read this thread from @anunayC.

Thank you once again, I cannot wait to try the ear (1) and consequently the app. Hopefully this is the start of a more regular presence from Staff Members around these lands.

Like @Cheetosdust mentioned above (thank you by the way): my thread is about the Global Product and Software Testing Program. If you could share some of your insight and if something like this is possible!

There’s a very limited amount of community members on this forum and many of us don’t own the Ear (1)s (yet). So this program could help us get our hands on the Buds as well as help Nothing get the feedback they need!
