Music stopping for notifications

Hi all!

I hope this is a simple question however I am new to android as I have finally switched from iPhone after following Nothing for quite some time.

The main thing I am currently finding is that when listening to music, if I get a notification through Whatsapp the music will stop and bring through the notification sound - how do I get around this?

Or is it that I haven’t got the phone on the right setting i.e. vibrate only?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

JackLewis_5rWyMcKgsT Hello, Jack. The normal process would be for the music to get a bit quieter together with the notification sound, but not stop, however each streaming app has it’s own settings. E.g. Spotify will just get quieter while the notification sound plays, but Audible will stop while the sound plays and then resume. First thing you can try is restarting your phone and see if that helps, but if not, what kind of a music app are you using?

With YouTube Music it just gets quieter and then louder again. No problems so far.
