Huawei Health app - Restricted device & App Notifications

Hello nothing family!

I have a Huawei watch, this, paired with the Huawei Health application is able to send notifications to the watch from various applications(SMS, Messenger, emails, etc)

Currently, the ability to enable this, is restricted(See links below)

Could the devs share their 2 cents on this please? Are there some security concerns regarding the Huawei application? Any plans on enbaling acess for it?

LaurynasKostygovas Hey! You need to go to the App info page (in this case of Huawei Health) > in that page, press the 3 dots in the upper right corner > allow restrictions.

This should enable you to use notification access.

Anyone facing this issue on phone 2(a), what could be done to fixed it? I can’t get any notification on my watch. Kindly advise

Hey, to unlock the setting, follow these instructions:

On your Phone, open the Settings app.
Tap Apps.
Tap the app that you want to turn on a restricted setting for.
Tap More and then Allow restricted settings.

RapidZapper Thank you so much for the guide. It works great for me now. Thought had to change my watch. Saved my bucks anyway I’m eager to see if Nothing will launch its own watch independently and not under CMF. Hoping to get great ecosystem in future

Ral There is three dot on the top right corner, just push that.

On your phone, open “Apps”….at the bottom tap “Special app Access”, then tap “Device & App notifications”, slide “Allow notification access”… DONE

Huawei Health App on Nothing Phone 3 does not connect to Huawei watch D2.

Since Google playstore does not have Huawei Health app there, I have downloaded the APK from the Huawei site and installed the same on my Nothing Phone 3. Post installation, when I bring up Huawei Health app on my Nothing Phone 3, the app simply does not detect/connect to my Huawei watch D2.

FYI, I could get Huawei Health app from my other Android phone (Samsung) work absolutely fine and is able to detect/connect/work with Huawei watch D2.

It looks like this is an issue with Nothing OS where it is simply failing to detect/connect to Huawei Watch via Huawei Health app. Anybody has any ideas?

Nothing engineers, if you happen to see this, pls fix it. Thanks.
