As with almost every modern tech product, with the ear (1) hardware came the ear (1) app. Nothing knows the importance of conjugating both like they are a single verb, going to great lengths to make you combine them.
Now that more and more of us are starting to have firsthand experience with them both, I believe it can be useful to focus on a single aspect of the app - the Equalizer. Not its future version but the one we have available as of today.
If you access the “Hear” section, you’ll see see the Equalizer with four options, namely:
- Balanced
- More Treble
- More Bass
- Voice
“Use the equalizer to fine-tune your sound experience,” is highlighted by the app itself. It’s true most of us share the opinion that a more robust, customizable equalizer can be of good use, however, I think we can make the most out of what we have now.
I have included a poll within this thread so we can vote for the option we use the most, sharing what we have found. One of the options, as you see, is for people who change that parameter according to what genre they are listening to.
We can help each other with our findings, sharing our preferred option to a specific genre - or one to rule them all. Since we all listen to different artists and bands that depend on a myriad of recording choices, this can help shape what we extract from it.
You know what you like better than anyone else. Your findings while experimenting with the feature can make it easier for others who are discovering the app because they just got their ear (1) or even a new genre because the bits and bytes of their favorite music app recommended it.
Thank you and let’s equalize the equalizer.
