Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Nothing lineup closely and noticed that the budget-friendly CMF Phone 1 surprisingly has better color accuracy than the Nothing Phone 2 and Nothing Phone 2a. As a Nothing Phone 2 user, I observed that after introducing the TrueLens engine, the images often appear oversaturated and overprocessed, especially with reds and greens. In contrast, CMF Phone 1’s pictures are closer to what we actually see.
New Camera Profiles:
Nothing has introduced Natural and Vivid camera profiles in the CMF Phone 1. It’s interesting to see if these will be available on other devices as well.
I’ve attached a tweet thread comparing the color accuracy of the Nothing Phone 2 and the CMF Phone 1 for reference.
This raises a few questions:
- What might be contributing to the superior color accuracy in the CMF Phone 1?
- As Nothing continues to improve its camera technology, will they enhance color accuracy in their older high-end and mid-range phones, or will these devices be left as they are?
- Has anyone else noticed this trend? What are your thoughts on the camera performance and color accuracy across the Nothing lineup?
Looking forward to your insights!
