News Reporter Widget feedback

I really like the news widget and it’s really useful but one thing I noticed is that if I play it early in the morning, I get news from the last day. Then since I’ve already listened to that but don’t like it when the widget is in progress, I have to remove and re-add the widget.

If you could add like a tiny number in a corner of the widget that showed the date of which is news it’s, it would be really helpful.

I’ve been regularly listening to the news updates from the new widget that shares news in the voice of Tim, the CFO at Nothing. Here are some things that I noticed:

I understand that it is completely ai driven, as in content curation, voice and everything and ai is not perfect so there are quite a few minor issues with it which actually make some of the updates funny. The team has been successful in making the listeners smile with the use of some great witty dialogue.
Today I’ve noticed a major issue with one particular update, sharing the video here for you all to listen and have a laugh 😂

Maybe the team should enforce an approval system to check the quality of these news updates.

Why are so many of the stories on the newsfeed American biased? College football and American football? US State specific articles? Can we pick our sources please? Tim’s “humourous” interjections when skipping are also always about finances. That’s getting weary!

Hey Nothing team,

I know the News Widget is in Beta, but it has now maybe more than twice has read news articles like a URL, once it was funny as it did the longest tongue twister I have ever heard. I imagined, if it was the real CFO, he would have made a Guinness Book of world records.

Jokes aside, something you can look into, I have a screen recording, not sure where to upload it. Let me know if I can be of any help

It was working fine just before last week, since the last week it has been so bad that I’ve stopped using it.

Tried it today and I see the problems just getting worse. First it was funny to hear all that but now it just feels like the issues just get worse by each day.

May I ask why is my discussion merged into News Reporter Widget feedback?
My topic has no relationship with the widget.

These are two different things.

My question is about the https://nothing.community/ website if it has news syndication possibilities through atom/rss or not?

I don’t know if it’s just me but has anyone else experienced any problems or glitches with the news widget? I had to remove it from my home screen and add it back in order for it to work right again. It’s happened a couple of times now.

So I tapped the news widget to play it, as always and it got stuck on one story for some reason. I tried skipping it but it still kept playing the same story. Tried it again a day later and a couple days later, hoping that I’ll be able to skip over this one with new stories but it still kept playing the one from the earlier day. So, I removed the widget and re-added it to my home screen and it started working right

Hello, I really liked the new “Reporter” feature, but while listening to the news, I first heard about the company “Sonos” and really wanted to know more about it. This gave me the idea to offer you the opportunity to find out more text information about the source/company/product. I hope you like my idea and thank you for making CMF Buds pro!

Edit: As an implementation option, this can be done by creating 2-3 buttons on the widget with the source/company/product if there are any
