Why be so stressed about security updates? Say thank you for having them once every two months and not once a quarter like in other brands.

Why is there so much people stressing out with the security patch?
It looks like you guys are confusing security patch with update. A security patch is exactly what the name says, a security patch. It does not correct bugs or add new features.

MagnusG so, in sum, no major exploit patched and if you use apps from the play store (clean code) no security issue.
Once again, why is everyone acting like it’s the end of the world to have patches every 2 months?
If there was any major exploit patched, I want to believe that all brands would provide the proper “emergency” patch
Where is the August security patch for 2A? It’s almost end of the month and we have not received security patch for August. When this will be pushed to our devices?

It’s been worst that still I haven’t received August month security update (almost August is gonna end). No improvement on fixing bugs is somewhat okay but not even a proper release of security update on time is painful.
Even many small brands follow up with their commitments but you guys have totally changed after your new releases (only concentrating on the new products and have left support for consumers like me)

I think you are exaggerating with the pressure on security updates, I’m not talking to you personally, but we open a post like this about 10 times a day, it’s all a security update, yes, not a software update, it won’t improve your bugs.
I think the Phone (2) is supposed to get Bi-monthly updates and since it is on July patch, I think next patch would be September.
I’d rather they release OS 3.0 and Android 15 for Phone (2) soon cause at the moment the only priority seems to be the 2(a)

RitvikRungta We probably getting OS 3 for Phone 2 at the end of september but it will beta 1 with android 14. After 2 months then only stable OS 3 I think.. then another 2 months with android 15 beta.
Keseven Ya even I feel it makes no sense to launch OS 3 with A14 now. Earlier OS X used to be released around June/July, so it made sense to release the next Android version as OS X.5 .. but now that OS 3 is launching this late, it just makes sense to streamline the number with the next Android release from the beginning itself.
Nothing please release August security patch as soon as possible and fix this problems.
- Battery draining too much fast.
- Automatically glyph lights on even it’s off manually.
- And other network related issues.
