From what I’ve read eSIM requires a hardware component that Phone (1) and (2) don’t have.

Esim is a hardware-based service and is thus unavailable on either device. I had to have my eSIM in my iPhone revoked and given a physical nanoSIM in one of the outlets of my service provider’s to transfer to Phone (1).
