Keseven U need to read properly first, I said apps for the “most basic things" like photos app, contact and data transferring from old to new phone.

These kind of apps r provided by most of the companies out there, not rely on “google” for everything Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, xiaomi etc. has their own but nothing has is identity crisis.

I didn’t said we need nothing pay like Google pay bruh 💀 get the damn point.

For example Samsung’s “smart switch" which allows to copy whole data very smoothly within one click for new users, no need to go for google account sync ur data then blabla it’s not a pixel phone. (The same thing that lady said in her video)

That’s a basic need for efficient use.

Not a huge deal but for effectiveness with efficiency it can be, they can provide for better if they wanna compete in a long run.

Ok fine, I say ok for data transfer.
But I say no to contacts and photo apps. Nothing was sold as “bloatware” free. Get the damn point of the device and NothingOS in the first place. So it should be google. That’s the point, bloatware free. You want bloatware, you yourselves gave so many choices, why you need to ruin NothingOS? Go pick from the choices you said.

The inconsistency is definitely something that bothers me. They have their own font, but it’s not really used on a lot of places on the os, like the settings app. Their widgets can’t seem to decide if it wants to follow this retro looking style or if it wants to be an apple ripoff. They seem to be moving away from the retro look with 3.0, dropping the dot font on a lot of places, but why? If I wanted a monochromatic iPhone, I’d buy an iPhone and turn on the grayscale color filter.

Agree with some of it that we’re either working on or shipping soon with 3.0. Zero of it came from watching this video.

Overall, I don’t like it. It’s engagement baiting and arrogant, rather than a real intention to help make the products better.

Keseven I would buy another next time ig. But u aren’t giving solid reason so whatever 2 apps won’t ruin the ui it’s just an excuse they already realised it the gallery app is announced anyway.

U agree with only what u want to prefer, everyone has preferences if transfer app y not others? I don’t want to use google for everything, Many people don’t. It’s annoying

people should be given choices cus preferences u don’t have to agree with my point more u seem to adamant on ur damn excuse of “bloatwares" idc abt.

I have better things to do in life than explain smth so simple, so let’s stop arguing don’t reply me because I won’t read anymore, ty let’s just go on with our days.

Meet Yea this is just a hate video. They are expecting way too much from a 3yr old smartphone company and comparing it with giants like samsung and apple. Also every redesign that she mentioned has dot matrix on it and honestly it is too much for me. I am glad nothing is reducing the dot matrix fonts being everywhere in the UI. Although there are some things what she said that makes sense like about the brightness slider and most others are all wack. She just wants to put ndot on everything.

Meet To be completely honest, I hate this redesign. Yes, nothing’s dot-matrix design may be inconsistent, but having it everywhere is rather inconvenient and, quite frankly, just looks horrible. The dot-matrix is supposed to be a small touch. Not the entire design. I’m happy nothing is straying away from the dot-matrix based design, and making it just an added detail.

TheDocHudson yeah I couldn’t read much with n dot my suggestion is widgets add n-dot. But in settings app and quick settings it should stay san Sherif

Odo You are right, everyone has preference. So when you buy, you buy which you prefer. Nobody is stopping you. What I don’t understand, why you buy Nothing phone with Nothing OS and want a color OS like in the OnePlus? I bought Nothing for NothingOS as it is. You bought Nothing and want to make it ColorOS. If I prefer ColorOS, I will get device with ColorOS.

I really hate most of the things that she suggested, I’m glad nothing didn’t do anything like that. She does suggest changes but that don’t align with the vision that Nothing aims for hence it’s a bit disappointing.
