Charger Disconnects on USB Tethering (Solved)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to provide more details about the issue I’m facing with my charger disconnecting randomly.

The problem only occurs when I use my phone as a USB tethering hotspot for my laptop. After using tethering, if I don’t restart my phone and then charge it using my Samsung 25W PD adapter, the charger will connect and disconnect intermittently. However, if I restart my phone before charging, the issue doesn’t occur.

I believe this is a software-related problem rather than a hardware issue. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?

thesunjrs That sounds like an interesting bug. I’ll try and replicate it tonight and let you know what I got.

Anonymous7 so I’ve figured out this thing. if i turn off the overnight charging and also the scheduled battery saver then there’s no problem. i guess it might help if anyone’s facing the same issue.

I faced this issue a couple of days before permanently losing usb connection.

But it connected and disconnected on the charger itself. Didn’t use usb tethering.

martxda everytime i restart my phone it works fine without this automatic thing. but after some hours it behaves the same. and i need to restart it each time i put it on charge.
