Ali Fakhruddin you know what I’m thinking, instead of removing why not introduce “chose your font style” and let users choose what they want. How hard that’s goanna be? are we not living in the future? why are the smartphones stuck with just one font? I don’t just get it?
Nothing OS 3.0: Don't remove the dot font
Please don’t change the iconic dotted fonts in any update I’ve updated my phone 2a but it’s looks like an ordinary android please give me back the originality of nothing
VhoraAdl its already updated to sans.
zygerboy Did you see my post about Noting? What we have done is kept the NDot fonts for dark mode and NType for Light Mode. This way users can switch between 2.6 and 3.0 styles.
Ali Fakhruddin I’m not sure which post could you name the title of the post so i can relate what you mean.
zygerboy This one
Ali Fakhruddin Oh yes! my bad Yes i remember it now. Yes that would do. but is this applicable to entire OS?
Hey team nothing don’t remove the dot font please it is a identity of nothing
Hey guys iam from India I recently buy the nothing phone 2a it’s a fantastic device particularly the is was awesome the monochrome fonts are really superb . So please don’t remove the font we really love it and this is the identity of nothing so please don’t do that nothing
zygerboy Just our apps.
A lot of us feel that, while we agree the N Dot font was overused in previous releases (quickpanel time to name an example), the 3. 0 update’s decision to wind down of the N Dot font usage seems uncharacteristic of Nothing’s design language. Two changes, me and a few others on reddit had discussed about that was a bit on the face were:
- The new settings app Header font. The new font style just does not look as good as the old N Dot all caps headers and really looks out of sort. Especially when numbers are added to the mix like the battery and storage sections. Give us the option to pick between the n dot headers or the new font style. Also, those horizontal lines, it makes the UI look hectic and crowded. The simplistic line - less layout looked much better and in line with nothing’s design scheme. The new settings app just looks like a step down from the old one.
- The lockscreen date font style. Despite providing us with a number of clockface options for our lockscreen, the date font looks the same throughout. Even with the dotted clockface the date text uses the same font style as the iOS inspired clockface text, which quite honestly feels inconsistent and half baked. Having the date font use the old N Dot font or something different that mimicks each of the clockface options we have would be a far better option for us.
These are my personal opinion and something a few fellow nothing users agree with and I am raising it here cos the 3.0 is still in beta and maybe the folks at Nothing would go through this and consider something along the lines. If you do agree what I have written then give it a thumbs up, if not give them a thumbs down or whatever. Cheers peeps.

Agree.
Please don’t remove the N-Dot don’t. It’s the icon of Nothing brand
I like the new font and the new clock numbers. Sometimes the dot font looked awkward. But, of course, it would be better if for some there was the opportunity to choose the old format.
