Did you accidentally stop the update?   Itā€™s been gone for 2 weeks now.

Apart from lags and slowness, Iā€™m getting system UI not responding and proces system not responding pop-ups now.

Update of my experience, due to the lag and slowness of the UI, that cannot reach 120hz consistently, I had to lower the refresh rate to 60hz because it is really painfull to use. That is one option, the other is to disable de animations, soā€¦ the experience is pretty bad. Iā€™m still hopefully, and I think or I want to think that Nothingā€™s gonna solve the problem, knowing that Nothing OS 3.0 is near and android 15 is also right at the corner, I can understand that they donā€™t make such big effort to optimize this version to focus on 3.0. But nowadays it is practically unusable and the performance doesnā€™t belong to the price point of the phone.

Hi, iā€™m from Europe And still not getting ā€œnewā€ september patch updateā€¦.. something wrong?

Dear Nothing Team,

Iā€™m writing out of sheer frustration regarding a persistent issue with my Nothing Phone 1 since updating to OS 2.6 in September. Despite factory resets, multiple restarts, and every troubleshooting step, my battery meter is no longer showing up. The phone charges and discharges, but none of this is reflected in the battery stats. Thereā€™s no indicator when I plug in the charger, and as a result, I have no idea when I need to charge my device.

Additionally, thereā€™s a bizarre issue where my mobile data and tower connections completely drop. Itā€™s only when I plug the phone into the charger that everything seems to reconnect. And now, the phone will only charge when itā€™s switched off. If itā€™s powered on, it refuses to charge altogether.

I know from Reddit discussions that Iā€™m not aloneā€”other Phone 1 users are also facing these problems. This issue is extremely frustrating and makes my daily use of the device inconvenient. I request that the team urgently address these problems and release a patch for OS 2.6 that fixes this issue for Phone 1 users.

Please helpā€”this is seriously impacting the experience with what otherwise is a great device.

Best regards,
Janmejay Singh

After the 1st September (recent) update my phone started hanging a lot and is jittery.
Anyone else facing this issue?
The apps used to load much faster previously, however they taking ages to load now.
A lot of apps stopped responding out of nowhere while Iā€™m using them.

Any help on this would be appreciated

2 weeks!! Still Nothingā€¦..whatā€™s going on? You guys stopped or what??

Iā€™m also still waiting for the update šŸ¤ž

I canā€™t believe this changelog for NothingOS 2.6 (240904-1634) doesnā€™t address the major issues weā€™re facing! My Phone (1) has become practically unusable since the update. The battery meter is completely gone, and now it only charges when the phone is powered off! Iā€™m constantly losing signal and mobile data, which only come back when I plug in the charger.

Itā€™s incredibly frustrating to deal with these problems daily, and it seems like these critical issues are being ignored. I really hope the Nothing team acknowledges this and prioritizes a fix soon. This isnā€™t what we signed up for with the Phone (1)!

Anyone else feeling the same way?

I think Sep Patch is released a while ago nowā€¦. may be add screenshot of update screen for better help

janmejaysingh this really sounds like something you should be reaching out to the support team for rather than relying on a software update. Have you already tried to do this?

i tried contacting support the first day, it happened, they replied please give it a service centre, then i reached the service centre in my area (Udaipur), he refused to take my phone as its out of warrantee and said try in a different service centre. So after that my only option is to wait for an update to fix it!

          Still no update for me

janmejaysingh I dont think this has anything to do with patch or updateā€¦..
you need to visit careā€¦ or try resetā€¦
first step you took is wrongā€¦ only.

OviGarry Well maybe better not get the update regarding all issues reported šŸ˜§ past weeks I was waiting for it but I see many users having lag issues, battery issues etcā€¦ and well the ā€œoldā€ version is not so bad šŸ˜…

It is 100% update issue because my battery meter was working fine before , after applying the update the phone restarts and then i canā€™t see my battery percentage, this is thing happens just after the update.

I also reported the problem to the support team -That was my first step, they said please visit service centre , went to there , the guy at service centre refused o even look at my phone because it was out of warranty. Now just waiting for next and hoping is only last resort

why you dont have option to show hide battery percentage above battery health?
itā€™s prolly hardware issueā€¦ I think most users are on sep patch. no one reported stuff like this.
may be unit specific? but not sure how can update only affect one deviceā€¦
its understandable if its screen issue coz thats normal thing these days. even if it was update issue. it wont just blow any option from settings like that unless its mentioned in changelog. I think its battery issue, may be loose connection or idk but yeah. only center can fix it. you will have to pay I guess since its out of warranty.
