Got a notification about an update, but I’m hesitant to go ahead and apply after reading all the comments abt crashes/network/battery issues. Did they push a hotfix or is it the same update?

Stefan I finally opted to update the phone using the offline Ota updater utility, and I have to say I found the performance slightly better, less stuttering on the animations and less frequently, that’s was my experience. It is far from having a ‘smooth’ experience, because the multitasking still struggling, but is a good step.

Stefan I can’t the difference between the two versions, practically the same, if you use some Bluetooth headphones for a couple of hours, the battery struggles to last to the end of the day so hard. Same screen time also, at least that was my experience.

Thanks for responding. I never have battery issues whit my Phone (1) or anything. Mine works perfect. Also i use my wireless headphones whit AAC HD bluetooth codec and no drain in battery. So every new update for me is better than previous and works better.

How do you notice the functions of the phone in general? fluidity, battery life, etc.

eliseots_2000 Battery life, the same than the previous, the fluidity slightly better but it still having stuttering and chops on the animation making the user experience being like a 6/10 for me. The animation stutter is probably the most infuriating thing that can happen to ruin the UI usage experience. Camera still the same I believe.

There are a lot of instances where phone is freezing. And then I’ve to lock-unlock the phone to bring it back to normal. Kinda giving me old phone vibes now. It is ruining the user experience.

And, while using Spotify, I’ve been observing a weird issue. When I’m jumping to a particular time of the song, it takes a while to load that part of the song even if it is available offline. Not sure it is related to the latest update.

Why this update is a lot slower to receive than other update because in average I receive it after 5 days of launch now it’s way more, and I don’t receive anything
