That really helps, Nothing should work on it asap, Glad many of us are expecting this to happen
True "Dark Mode" for Nothing OS
Nothing team please look forward to it. It would be a great addition many users prefer black shade over grey as it is more battery efficient and looks better and also bring a feature through which we could force pitch black theme (amoled) in other apps too. Reddit provides this Midnight (amoled) theme i am using it and its awesome. It would be amazing if we could use this on every app.
Dear Nothing, please remove the greyish tone and provide true pitch dark mode. Its giving an LCD vibe to a high quality Amoled screen
i think nothing 2a has a phenomenal display and it really works, but the software has limited its potential, like it can’t really appears to be amoled unless its deep black. and i m thinking how is it so limited
When I set the screen to true black wallpaper, which I love because it creates the illusion of a bigger display, the status bar on the top, is greyish, never true black. Is there any way to remove this, maybe an application or anything? Thanks ! The aesthetic would be so much better if it just gets removed. On a screenshot you can’t tell tho which is weird.
Add true dark mode on Nothing Phone Display like the other brands of phone like Apple and Samsung to save more battery.

Odvody ur right brother this has to be done
Yeah, been waiting for this one. I’d love a true dark mode!
I would love to see Nothing OS finally bring a true dark mode. The OLED displays really need it more than ever.
Nothing team, please consider adding a true dark/amoled mode in future OS updates. It’s something I have been using and in love with in my previous devices. And it always looked better in my eyes than normal dark mode.

I hope to get that in the next update

Yes a totally black screen in OLED or amoled with monochrome theme will be great!!! Also will save lots of battery too
M1st how did you get this ?
- There is no significant improvement in battery saving from using pure black theme as compared to that in the dark grey theme. It has been tested several times before with amoled displays.
- Monochrome or deep black makes a high contrast with white fonts. It may look cool for a minute but after a few minutes it puts a lot of strain on eyes. Dark grey is much more comfortable for eyes.
- High contrast areas with static objects on screen can cause quick screen burn in OLED panels.
That’s why, Darth Vader is not welcome anymore.
