I’ve been having a problem with the camera on my Nothing Phone 2. When I zoom in, the colors in the image fade out and look almost “painted.” The detail also seems to get washed out.

Has anyone else faced this issue or found a fix? Would appreciate any tips or advice!

Thanks!

I have noticed when apps use a QR camera view to scan something the focus is blurry when you try to focus on a QR code (3rd party apps) and it wont let you refocus as there’s no controls to do so.

gcam normal:

gcam night sight:

NP2 ( NOS 2.6) stock camera:

The white balance with gcam night sight is close to natural while the stock is yellowish.

The stock camera doesn’t consider this as night mode and didn’t give the option for it either which in my opinion there should be a separate option for night mode only.

If you zoom in on stock image it looks like a bunch of dots on walls in comparison to gcam but gcam retains the texture great.

In several other scenarios too while zooming in the images get cartoonish and lack detail.

Nothing phone 2 . I disappointed only one thing that is camara only . Starting to still now not me only all NP2 users asking camera update and improvements only . In other brands low budget mobiles gives very nice pictures, videos comparatively NP2 . But Nothing didn’t consider this . They never ever consider this . Except cameras other benefits 100% worth . Camera means 200% waste . This is my honest opinion .sorry Nothing this is true .

    Hey everyone,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with the Nothing Phone 2a plus photo processing. After taking a picture, the post-processing seems to overly increase the contrast, which often ruins the natural look of the image. Shadows become too dark, and highlights are overly bright, making the photos lose their balance and detail.

Is anyone else facing the same problem? If so, have you found any fixes or workarounds for this?

Let’s share our experiences and see if we can figure this out together!

Thanks in advance for your input!

      need a camera improvement 😒

I noticed this hilarious bug in the stock camera app. Don’t really know if it’s an intended feature or a bug XD.

Document mode was off. I’m on stable Nothing OS 2.6.
