Purchased yesterday for my Phone (2a) Plus CE just for the battery glyph alone. 😍

💡Feedback (sorry if this has been requested for previously), in future versions it would be nice to see more options for the charging meter (if possible):

  • Always show the charging status, rather than having to wiggle the device.
  • Change which Glyph is used for the charging indicator i.e. from top left to the right straight bar.
  • Wiggle to see battery when not plugged in.

Not really related to your app (seems like a Nothing OS bug), but I’ve noticed that if you have “Charging Assistance” turned on and you’re charging the bottom left glyph will flash. There’s no option to turn it off, which is kind of annoying. Maybe I will send some feedback to Nothing about this.

Thanks developer!

    I’ll address each point:

    • This can be done, however it would interrupt Extential, music visualization and so on. I could leave the choice to the user but the app will get full of toggles, I’m not sure how I feel about it.
    • Your second point is impossible: there’s only one variable glyph on (2a)s
    • Again, possible and it wouldn’t interrupt stuff since it would only last 5 seconds or so. This has been requested many times, I can look into it for the next update.

As for the charging assistance, it has definitely some bugs: my phone is constantly flashing until I remove the charging assisant notification, I guess some code is refreshing that notification continuosly…

Fr4nKB thank you for taking the time to respond to all my feedback, it’s appreciated. 👍🏼

      • I understand, but more options to the end user the better imo. I don’t use extential, music visualisation etc. personally and how often would some use these while charing the phone anyway? Everyone’s use case may different from my own, but just “some food for thought”.
      • Ahh, I see. I didn’t know that.. learnt something new!
      • Good to know, thank you.

Ahh, I will look for the charging assistant notification next time and dismiss it. I have already raised this feedback to Nothing.

      Thanks again, cheers FJ.

pixcel25 I’m really flattered, thanks👀 To be honest, there are definitely people here more skilled than me

freshj1ve No problem. Sure more options are generally better, but I’d like to avoid a busy UI though. For the moment I’ll focus on the “wiggle always available” feature…

Fr4nKB thanks again for your response. I’m sure there’s a way to do it without making the UI look busy. Maybe like a on/off toggle for each feature (extential, music visualisation, etc.) and then the settings for that feature are grayed out for example. Just a thought. Look forward to the “wiggle always available” feature. Thank Dev, keep up the great work! 👍🏼🍻

The App would be perfect if glyph Zones were there , so that we can customise every single zone light from 1.1 - 1.24 according to song.

@Fr4nKB , with the latest stable app update, there is some issue with the essential feature in glyphify. Even if there is no notification from the assigned app, the glyph animates and lights up as if there is one. I’ve tried reinstalling the app a few times, the case is still the same…

Fr4nKB yeah for sure , I’m waiting for that option in your app 🤩, hope you add that option asap or in next update

Maybe you can add zone 1.1 to 1.24 here for easier access to glyph Zones

In new update its mentioned that there is custom battery alarm animation. How does it works?

I’m having one small issue with extential/essential glyphs. It goes on when I get the notification (obviously), but after I view the message or whatever notification it’s on for, it won’t turn off. It’ll only turn off when I pick my screen again.

Using Phone 1, and this is since the latest update.

Fr4nKB The Google dialer app “Phone”

Also, if no app is assigned to a glyph but I change the animation for that glyph, it randomly starts to animate. For example: if I set ping-pong as animation for a glyph and select no app, it sometimes randomly starts to animate

                      RedSkul×HYDRA just solved this
the fix should also address this two problems Huzi RedSkul×HYDRA
I also solved some stability issues, I’ll publish the update tonight and you can expect to be online around this time (10 PM CET) tomorrow.

Hardik Head into the settings page, tap on battery, turn on either battery alarm or low battery alarm, tap on “default sound” button and chose a composition. Every time there’s an alarm, the audio and animation from your composition will be played instead of default sound/animation. You can use any composition, even the ones created outside Glyphify. Keep in mind that the composition will be truncated at 5 seconds.

ThrishalPoojary Might be feasible, thanks for the input

Not sure if anyone else is having issues with the latest update, but I can’t get the charging meter to work anymore? 🤔 I tried cleared app/data cache, but still no go. Is there a right way to wiggle the phone when it’s facing down or is there anything else I should try or check, other Glphy’s are working. Thank you, FJ.

EDIT: Just finished charging my phone to 80% and the charging meter alert didn’t go off either like it usually does (and yes, it is toggled on).

EDIT 22/11: Apologies.. looks like it might be false alarm as it looks like it’s come good, working again. Maybe my device just needed a good reboot. 🙂

Hi, I just made an account to thank you for your App. It is the solution to the somewhat lacking vanilla glyph options. So yeah, well done. I’m looking forward to seeing what great ideas might be implemented in the future.

As a sidenote, the torch widget only works once on my 2a. After that the button is just unresponsive. Also, would it be possible to make the widget resizable? I’d personally prefer a 1×1 icon (I’m aware that this might make the light level adjustments impossible).

[Edit] It seems like the widget works now. Dunno what made unresponsive at first. shrug

freshj1ve I’m glad it eventually worked out for you

Ille Hey, thank you for supporting my work🫶🏻

About the widget, I’ll see if I can improve it but there’s no plan on resizability since NOS 3 will have a dedicated widget for glyph torch. It wouldn’t make sense for me to implement it

                            Fr4nKB , hey i noticed some bugs

                            1. Battery meter works even when you off glyph settings in the app
                            2. I don’t get essential glyph messages sometimes don’t how why it happens This are the 2 I noticed
