Compass Widget Accuracy?

Have to say that the Compass widget is not very Accurate. As picture. The Arrow is point due north. How do I adjust this> Many Thanks Terry

I’m not sure I’m understanding the question, are you saying you’re pointing the phone north but the compass is not showing it correctly? With this screenshot you’re pointing your phone south east?

The pointer is heading due North, the points are wrong.

terry_Rebel I believe I understand where the confusion is coming from. With a regular compass the needle moves based on the direction you’re facing and always points in the position of north and south. With the widget the arrow remains stationary and shows the direction you are currently facing, the N E S W spin accordingly.

The needle is heading North. As I sit here, I do know where North is 😉

terry_Rebel The widget does work slightly different to a regular compass but if you believe the arrow is pointing in a different direction to which you’re facing then that’s a different issue entirely, you should probably provide some feedback via the OS Feedback Form or Settings > System > Feedback.

On your phone 2,

Does anyone else notice the compass widget true north is complete off. Is it just my phone?

There seems to be no way to calibrate the compass either… would be great if they could clean up this issue on the next update. Would love some feedback from anyone. Thank you

SrsThewrongguy interesting. My widget was off compared to my car compass and Google maps true north orientation

Temporary fix to make it accurate is to rotate your phone in a 3D infinite sumbol as a calibration(I hope you get what I’m saying), after like a few hours or minutes or restarts, it goes back to being inaccurate again

Compass was showing incorrect direction. North was exactly opposite.

To correct it, enabled the direction marker, red dot to show up, then held the phone face down and swiped the phone in the air, in the infinity pattern for about 30 seconds.

The compass recalibrated itself correctly.
