No matter how much we talk about the level of salesability of your phones, maybe 2a shot great on release, but the community of phone 2 users is bigger, phone 2 is still on sale and they continue to buy it, it is the most popular in terms of functionality and stuffing, you need to do something with these, and not postpone the update for November, this will only impale the community, in principle, which you have already done..
Nothing OS 3.0 | Phone (2a) Open Beta
Android 15 - Private Space Features?
Actually it should be there…
- (Edited)
I think all devices should have access to the beta testing, I mean phone 2a just recently got 2.6 update and a lot of people just bought it and why would anyone install a beta on their brand-new phones? it only makes sense to let Phone1 and Phone2 to have the update first and then launch to new gen devices. I just got my new phone 2a and the new update and I would never try beta so early unless I really feel the OS need a new feel. I am not sure how the updates are planned but current gen devices may not show major bugs in testing but with previous gen it will give a clear picture about its performance, optimization needed and find suitable hardware related compromises. Phone2a just came less than 6 months and giving all major access upfront would be unfair to the rest of the crowd who are eagerly waiting desperately to taste the new flavor.
You guys are treating Phone 2 ( a ) as if it’s your Flagship , whereas we the Phone 2 users are in Nothing’s secondary list Natalie
Well, at least they said the month of production, that’s something.

You lose the data on roll back!
But to be on the safer side, keep the data backed up even if you don’t think you will roll back, as unexpected errors may cause data loss.
neikees yes it is. I’ve just installed it and checked.
This is what true innovation looks like!
I believe Nothing has done an impressive job rolling out the Beta program to Nothing Phone (2a) users. While some of you invested more in the Nothing Phone 2, anticipating early access, consider this: the decision to prioritize the 2a, their best-selling model, makes sense.
Since this is just a Beta program, deploying it to a larger user base allows for more valuable feedback and insights. It’s a strategic move that aligns with Nothing’s commitment to listening to its community. The person behind this decision clearly has a thoughtful approach.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate what the company is doing to enhance the user experience.
And for clarity, I’m not a Phone 2a user myself—I’m using their sub-brand, CMF Phone 1, and I truly appreciate how they extend a similar experience to their budget-friendly lineup.
I just want to say that we all have different perspectives, and that’s what makes our community so vibrant. Let’s continue to share our thoughts and support each other as we enjoy the innovations from Nothing. Your opinions are valued, and together, we can appreciate the journey they’re on!
Any other company would have prioritized its flagship instead of midrange
JCPH yes other company should also follow the same i would say, who cares of someone spend 10k or 50k on a device (in inr).
So my question is that if i want a device for good and early software experience i should get a high end model or wait to see which device sells well and and decide according. If np3 didn’t sell well same thing will happen so someone should wait untill a midrange release after flagship to make a purchasing decision?
wow - this is totally against convention - the latest device for Nothing - the 2a Plus is actually scheduled for later compared to the 2a which is available for now - go figure. makes you think how will updates be handled for P3 when it arrives eh? was looking forward in ‘Oct’ to test this out on the 2a Plus - but guess gotta wait more.
hrry Beta is Beta, there’s everything shown in short video announcement. Still, no Nothing gallery which was announced too, guess have to wait till full release, but still, it’s pretty good and convenient.
A lot of customisation and customisation itself became much much convenient, hadn’t got my hands on camera, pretty sure I’ll test it today.
All the new updates feel pretty solid and not to separated from original nos 2.6.
I can assure all the people that you should wait for full release so you’ll experience more functions that could be released in future.
- But if you think, download the beta or not, go on.

we Nothing phone 2 users are jokers right. We do pay more and are least preferred when it comes for beta testing
We do condemn this and will not download your 3.0
