DerMann254 They absolutely can, in november, when the open beta is available for your device.

I would also like to say that there are a lot of companies who don’t even do open beta’s. No input, no feedback. Nothing is an exception, be glad you get the change to check out new features earlier than release.

Greetings, I am an NP2 user, and I am not complaining about not receiving the beta update, so I prefer to update to the stable one…. which has me thinking and sad that in the views of the 3.0 update no one is talking about the characteristic letters of nothing We will lose those characteristic dot titles and letters. I don’t like that now we will lose that essence of the brand…

Matteo Riso I completely agree with you. Many people who unjustifiably complain about disadvantages here are also quick to forget that the Phone (2) is simply not the latest device. Just like the Phone (1). Neither device is currently available for sale (at least in Germany). Why should these devices get such a major new update first? Furthermore, we are not talking about several months here, but at most two months difference to the provision of a BETA version!!!! I don’t think it’s serious that such a trifle from an otherwise great company with a great innovative spirit is being taken so seriously…

I wanted to bring up a concern regarding the release of Nothing OS 3. I noticed that it has been launched for the Nothing Phone (2a) first, but not for the Nothing Phone (2), which is their flagship model.

I’m curious about the reasoning behind this decision. It feels a bit like the Nothing Phone (2) is being overlooked, and I would love to hear the community’s thoughts on this

      Exciting news, thoughtfull improvements. 🤩🤓

I was hoping to see audio recording from bluetooth when recording video in the camera improvemets.

      Looking forward!

Merged 2 posts from Concerns About Nothing OS 3 Release for Nothing Phone 2.

I believe the biggest competitor to Phone 2 is Phone 2a. I recall that when Phone 2a was launched, the software update for Phone 2 was delayed by the Nothing software team. Since then, it seems that their top priority has shifted towards Phone 2a 😀.

DerMann254 Yes, comparing Samsung with Nothing, a brand with less than 5 years of development would be a great comparison… Samsung has been doing phones before Android was a thing, this is not comparable

DerMann254 I used my brain, which is why I explicitly referred to the beta version! Please do me a favor and read carefully first before advising others to use their brains 😃

It’s not the final version. If it were about that, then I would agree that it is worth discussing. But a huge fuss is being made here because of a beta.

If I update it on beta released UI.

Shall I get the original UI when it will be released?

Or once I get the Beta UI. I will become the beta tester for ever?

JCPH Its true what you have said, and I strongly agree with you and understand that Nothing is a very new player. but my only point is if nothing has more data, it will give them a clear plan based on priorities. Releasing beta for one specific device and late release for another with an interval of one month for every device its a long period to work for. But if major problems are heard from the community (yes, many will make the noise but also provide valid feedback) that team nothing can look up and priorities it accordingly. It might reduce the overall release timeframe. Beta hardly carry major bugs as teams have already tried and tested with 100s of conditions.

zygerboy Who even says they have a build ready for the Nothing Phone 2 and 1? They use different architectures, a different chipset. Since this is also updating to Android 15, I find it pretty likely that they may still be working on porting the device to that OS.
