DerMann254 I used my brain, which is why I explicitly referred to the beta version! Please do me a favor and read carefully first before advising others to use their brains 😃

It’s not the final version. If it were about that, then I would agree that it is worth discussing. But a huge fuss is being made here because of a beta.

If I update it on beta released UI.

Shall I get the original UI when it will be released?

Or once I get the Beta UI. I will become the beta tester for ever?

JCPH Its true what you have said, and I strongly agree with you and understand that Nothing is a very new player. but my only point is if nothing has more data, it will give them a clear plan based on priorities. Releasing beta for one specific device and late release for another with an interval of one month for every device its a long period to work for. But if major problems are heard from the community (yes, many will make the noise but also provide valid feedback) that team nothing can look up and priorities it accordingly. It might reduce the overall release timeframe. Beta hardly carry major bugs as teams have already tried and tested with 100s of conditions.

zygerboy Who even says they have a build ready for the Nothing Phone 2 and 1? They use different architectures, a different chipset. Since this is also updating to Android 15, I find it pretty likely that they may still be working on porting the device to that OS.

to those wondering why 2a got it first it may be because they already complied NOS3 for 2A during the CBT stages.

The other phones didn’t get it yet because they need to compile it for each and every phone.

What a joke man! Imagine paying more and a midrange phone from the company getting priority in S/w updates (whether it’s Hotfix update or Security Patch Update or Open Betas) + that midrange device got so many camera fix/optimization updates meanwhile they’ve deprived their top-tier smartphone from this. Didn’t even bother to improve the camera in NOS 2.0 & 2.5.

I’ve both Spacewar and Pong (Phone 1 & Phone 2) and trust me, in many scenarios my Phone 1 takes better pictures than Phone 2 ,in terms of video recording, obviously phone 2 is better but this clearly shows how dedicated the team is with the Pong’s user experience improvements. Didn’t expected this from Nothing team.

Well, Nothing is the new Xiaomi, after this move by team, I’ll definitely consider Pixel or Samsung for my future purchase!

now i’m update NOS 3.0 and i’m have bluetooth bug problem. i’m can’t pairing with Razer Hummerhead Wireless earbuds.

      Update - Now it’s fixed thanks 🙏

AryamanSrivastava_vP7a3gRDLf See ya, this kind of closed mind thinking really isn’t helping anyone. Have you considered that maybe a open beta is not meant for you to enjoy “because you paid more”, but meant to find bugs and receive feedback on new features? Have you considered that it takes time to update an entire OS to a new version and that it might not be done at the same time when updating multiple devices? Have you nothing better to do then to whine when you don’t get to “play with the new cosmetics first”?

Imagine thousand ranting golas ranting about paying more so demanding vip features first 😭 salute to nothing to support the majority rather than some chapris thinking phone 2 deserves everything first and exclusive feature cuz they are paying more🤣

As a nothing 2a user no hate but i love this update but why don’t just make it accessable for all the nothing devices like i payed never as much as NP 1 or 2 and still have more features for less money damn. You are making yourself so many haters right now Nothing.

I’m really excited about Nothing OS 3.0; at first glance, it looks really impressive. However, I find it a bit unfortunate that my phone (Nothing Phone 2) is getting the update (beta) later than a phone that costs half as much and isn’t even part of the flagship series (Phone 2a).

but still good job nothing 🙂

BingusBongus32 Bruh first of all, it’s not a closed beta for your information, second thing, they should’ve released for the Phone 2 as well, third don’t teach me about how much time OS upgrades take…OEM gets BSP (Board Support Package) from the Qcom for the updates, after that OEM tweaks the OS & Kernel according to their needs, then they apply the NOS UI on the top of BSP (it’s still a lot of commits pick) and changes in the codes, my argument here is, they’re using the same source for all device, just device side work is different, it’s not like a hectic work for a professional team like Nothing, they’re not Xiaomi HyperOS ,tons of bloated features on top of BSP, Nothing OS is close to stock, and I’m not blaming the dev team for this, It’s just as simple as that, when you pay more you obviously expect to get priority in SW Updates whether it’s a Hotfix or camera improvement or security patch update or whether it’s CBT/OBT.

AryamanSrivastava_vP7a3gRDLf If you think Nothing OS is anything close to stock you are kidding yourself. You seem like you have lots of experience with how the development livecycle works for these products which is why it baffles my as to how ignorant you are to how these processes work. I also never implied it was a closed beta, I have no clue where you got that from. Your “Second thing” isn’t even an argument, just your opinion, which is not much to go by seeing how irradical your messaging has been so far, to be honest.
