As nothing os 3 brings ai based app drawer which automatically sorts apps into different categories. I would really love to see the ability to create our own folders in app drawer just like samsung and moto I really wish it would enhance user experience

Amarjeet4320 Facing the same issue lol the media player just doesn’t appear on the lockscreen also idk if you have an issue where the music just pauses by itself. Also reporting it just takes me to the nothing support where they just tell you to share the invoice lol

    I would really like to see this thread being used for two things ONLY:

    1. Report bugs found while testing NOS 3.0 (which may or may not have transitioned from previous versions).
    2. Report all the improvements found while testing NOS 3.0, like bugs that were fixed or features that are now working correctly but were broken on v2.6. Just like I did on my previous post in this thread.

    New feature requests or requests for changes on current features should be done on a separate thread, in order to make it easier to understand what is/remains broken and what is stable now.

    It’s just a gigantic mess to see people complaining about the fonts over and over again, others asking for new Nothing developed apps, others demanding earlier access to a test version because their phones were more expensive, bla bla bla all mixed up in the Nothing OS 3.0 beta discussion.

    My ADHD goes nuts with so many off topic posts and almost zero proven bugs that are exclusive to this beta version. At least do some research on your own while testing an unfinished software product. There are basic troubleshooting procedures which seem to be ignored by most of you. This is a beta version, it’s supposed to have some bugs. Bugs should be reported in settings > Tips & Feedback > Feedback. Period. That’s the only way to report them and have a guarantee that every single issue will be analysed. Or do you believe that it would be efficient to read all the posts here?

    Please don’t cry about everything! Learn to deal with your issues. Nobody forced you to install the beta version in the first place.

    I respectfully ask if the mods agree with my view of the thread separation and organisation.

    It’s impossible to get useful info here with all the confusion about things that have nothing (pun intended) to do with NOS 3.0 beta.

    I noticed that haptics while getting a notification are too strong, I don’t have an issue with it being strong but it should be crisp. Currently it feels like the normal vibration older smartphone used to have where it vibrates for half to one second on receiving a notification instead of a single strong haptic. Not sure if that is intended or a big. But it would be better to have crisp haptics throughout the UI

    Rob ⚡️ Tap to show lock screen and Lift to show lock screen options are not wokring with Nothing OS 3.0 beta and some apps are not allowing the Autofill of username password from keyboard.

        Rob ⚡️ pls ask them to include black dark theme colour instead of ‘grey’ still 3.0 could see grey colour as dark theme in the background. Also gallery and music player app must necessary.

          Rohit Also just noticed the photos contrast balance is not in top notch quality in the new beta OS, please fix that, previously that was better i think. 🫠. Expecting more from Nothing team.

              Rohit please report this issue through settings > Tips & Feedback > Feedback because that’s the only way to make sure your issue will be analysed.

                I’d love it if we had the option to switch back to N Dot font. I love the new N Type font but would love the option! Same with the old OS 2.0 lock screen clock, please bring that back as an option!

                I’m a japanese user of Nothing Phone (2a) and I can’t update to OS 3.0, cause the button is blocked. I’ve cheked the current version and everything’s okay. What can be the problem?

                  VikramSavioMoses The gallery app is not part of the current NOS3 Beta. The app is coming soon but, timescales have not been confirmed.

                    yash_3 I’m having issue autofilling login/password details with bitwarden as well. I found a workable workaround, but will be reporting more to nothing.

                    Another issue that I experienced is that YubiKey is not working with Firefox. Solution was to download Firefox Beta and it worked there.

                      yash_3 I am currently using nothing OS 3.0 beta since 5 days now, to be honest I am not facing this issue. It’s perfectly working on my phone, even autofill on keyword is working..

                        2nd Review (update after 7 days .os 3.0 beta 1 )

                        Pros

                        1. Everything feels smoother . No lags or jitters.

                        2. Battery optimisation done nicely no idle drainage issues faced.

                        3. No call drops or mobile data drops but ( 1 con related to it discussed in cons.

                        4. Camera opening speed has improved but jitters while opening recently clicked photos although processing time is on lower side from 2.6.

                        5. Quick settings design change is a welcome especially auto brightness.(Some cons related to it also).

                        6. Lock screen customisation is also nicely done and easy to use. (My pov is in cons)

                        7. Call quality remains good.

                        8. Battery health updates although not shown in percentage but cycle count and health like good is shown and also charge limitations like 70,80,90% were good additions .

                          CONS

                          1. Biggest issue i have with nothing 2a from beginning is its charging speed is very slow especially if it is hotter then may be 3 hours but at room temperature takes 1.5 hours and in ac at 16 takes 50 or less.. like seriously my op7t used to charge in 50 mins yeah 3700 mah battery but with only 30watt..

                          2. 2nd biggest issue and no solution in Android 15 for it also that is when using camera from third party apps especially telegram, or whatsapp or snapchat ,camera behaves like nokias 2mp cameras . And in snap chat it cant focus or have a clear quality videos .

                          3. Related to Mobile data : while downloading something mobile data becomes unavailable on its own like i switched off it this also happens in morning when i wakeup and unlock the phone. I used to face issue mobile data temporarily unavailable while switching data jn 2.0 .

                          4. They revamped quick settings without thinking and if i remember this was a concept used by a community member before official reveal. Yes it is good but removing tile names removes minimalistic approach of nothing.

                          5. They have removed flip to glyph from quick settings and added a seperate button for glyph torch.

                          6. Also in lighht theme it gets very difficult to find what is turned on and off.

                          7. Added clock designs only in white colour. And u cant change colours and all.

                          8. No options to change screen recording quality or a floating button to start or stop screen recording.

                          9. Issue with mail notifications until u open mail app u don’t receive any notification even though u have notifications turned on.

                          10. Yes It is googles fault while using Android auto phone getts hotter and u cant even use a app properly or open it it will lag like Samsung’s 2014-15 phones.

                          11. Minimalistic approach faded for nothing only widget adding can’t make phones minimalistic.smart drawer (yes beta although) cant let you change folder location or swap or drag apps in another folder.

                          12. Pinning apps should be like even though if you pin a app either pinned app section should be fixed while scrolling drawer or app that is pinned should be also available in drawer as sometimes you forget you pinned a app and then boom after scrolling u remember and there goes minimalistic approach. This is it but there are more cons and less helpful features .. like no media output selection option in volume drawer.
