Hey everyone! I’m very excited to be here and I can’t wait to see what amazing things this community can do!

I’m come from the US of A. I’m interested in Nothing because I truly do believe in what Nothing is trying to achieve, we need a tech company to disrupt the market and now I feel like it’s going to happen. I’m very into the design of products, especially when it comes to tech products because the possibilities are nearly endless.

When I was a lot younger around the age of 11-12 years old my dad gave me his old phone, I don’t quite remember what the phone was, maybe an HTC, but that doesn’t matter. When my dad gave me his old phone, I pretty much fell in love, the things you could do on this little tiny glowing brick, you could easily talk to people from anywhere in the world, you can store memories that can be shared with others years to come and they won’t degrade, you can share your opinions with the world with a single click, you can have hours upon hours of entertainment and I’ve always loved that idea! How all of these things can be done with a single object that can fit into your pocket.

The introduction to tech with that crappy phone was one of my favorite memories with my dad and now years later we still share that love for tech, from building computers and arguing about which flagship phone is better. But the tech world has gotten stale and kinda boring and now with the introduction of Nothing, me and my dad can finally have something new to talk about! Somethings that’s not boring and something that won’t get stale anytime soon! And I thank Nothing for that!

                Hello my Nothing peoples! Thank you guys for having me. I’m Heru, I’m from the UK and I work on the Nothing content team.

                Work wise I was previously was at Fnatic, an esports team. Before that I was doing content stuff for an action sports agency. I’m excited about the Nothing journey and what we’re setting out to achieve, anytime we have talented people trying to do great things you can count me in 100%. With a community that are also so keen to input and support so constructively, I am gassed to be part of it!

                Most memorable bit of tech is for sure my Walkman w850i I had back in school. The fact I could play music and send songs to my friends blew my mind. Shout out the orange lanyard + speakers with it too[Lol]. Or the computer I built from scavenged bits from skips and hand me downs when I was younger. It would overheat all the time, but you had to do what you had to do.

                      Hello everyone - My name is Amaka and I work at Nothing within the Global Marketing team as Marketing Assets Manager. Nice to meet you all.

                      Before joining the Nothing team I specialised in developing assets and managing content in the UK for product and partnerships. A little about me, when not completely involved in all things tech I am out and about taking in all the awesome creative events happening in this great city of London. I think I would consider myself a culture vulture and like to attend music festivals, galleries and museums. Oh and I am also a big fan of architecture and the best building hands down has to be the Barbican in London, a classic. Let me know if there is anything good I should visit.

                      A fun fact about me or not so fun that amuses not only my friends but also my colleagues is that I love packaging on products, I like the whole unboxing experience and take time to try and understand brands’ thought process when considering how products are packaged. There are many great things about working at Nothing but one of the best things is working with such an incredible group of talented people who share ideas and consistently work together to push this awesome brand forward. Looking forward to all of us celebrating many more milestones in the future.

                      My fav track is Massive Attack’s ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ for every mood but maybe not the dance floor but it is one I go back to time and time again. The music video is pretty awesome too, no tricks, just a beautifully produced piece of work. For dancing it swings for Daft punk to Drake and I will be the 1st on the dance floor.

                      I am going to be obvious with my fav piece of ‘retro’ tech, it has to be the iPod. ( This is a stock image so not my playlist)

                                It’s great to hear from you on YouTube and the community. Wow you worked at fnatic. That’s really cool. I saw the fnatic mode on OnePlus 7 series phone and the fps doesn’t drop in that mode. I’m not an actual gamer, but I love playing a lot of mobile games.

                                      We’re lucky to have Nothing HQ’d here in London, it’s such a diverse and vast city! Even having lived here for a few years, I still feel like a tourist, having barely scratched the surface of what there is to see and do. 😄

                                      There is something quite ceremonious about a properly considered unboxing experience - it’s the chance to make a great first impression on the consumer; that said, the ear (1) unboxing was rather special itself. I think its mission accomplished when consumers struggle to decide whether they ‘need’ to keep the packaging rather than throw it away.

                                                I don’t think I have that philosophical relation with packaging, but I do take my time to unbox a product. Can you name a few products that represent the pinnacle of the unboxing experience for you? Yes, other than the ear (1). 😁

                                                I have to confess that one of my pet peeves with tech videos is when the YouTuber chooses violence and just destroys the box. When that happens, there’s usually a teardrop involved. Now, if only there was a Massive Attack fan in this thread. 😎

                                                        2. I love tech and and music, my wife calls me (in a loving way) a geek. I love innovation and companies that “think outside the box” and I’m really excited to see what Nothing do next. I think the community will be a great resource as feedback is so helpful for any product team (and I know @Rudi

                                                          from a previous life and he’s fantastic!).

                                                        3. Minidisc player - I remember going around to my mates, plugging this little portable player into his amp with an optical lead and playing back the cd I’d just copied, they all fell silent and couldn’t believe the sound quality coming from this little device. They all went out and bought one!

                                                        4. Blade Runner - I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

                                                        I hope that’s enough and I hope to contribute often/join discussions etc.

                                                                    Hey everyone, I’m Al.

                                                                    I’m based in Plymouth, right on the border of Cornwall and Devon, all located in the south west of England. This part of the UK is known as a tourist hotspot for those looking for the quiet, yet scenic getaway. Drawing in tourists with Dartmoor national park, many beautiful beaches (despite the cold water), and quaint country villages.

                                                                    I was originally made aware of nothing by @Rob ⚡️, it’s an interesting idea to launch a brand with that name when more than ever the consumer is pushed towards bigger and flashier is better, it gives me promise that nothing will stand out from the crowd. I hope nothing will produce products that subtlety and effortlessly aid the end user with daily tasks and challenges, products that can solve a problem while keeping you in the moment, like it’s not even there, like it’s nothing.

                                                                    Perhaps a bizarre choice, but the myo gesture control armband was pretty awe-inspiring at the time. I never owned one, but I remember thinking about the possibilities, enhanced gaming/media experiences, quick and barely noticeable message responses, customisable and intuitive device usage all happening underneath the sleeve of your shirt. No one would know it was there.

                                                                    I’m not sure about a favourite lyric or movie quote, so I’ll go with “the pen is mightier than the sword” and twist it slightly. The design of the product will always be more important than raw horsepower. Like using a CPU for general computing tasks and a GPU for specific heavy duty tasks such as video rendering or editing.

                                                                    My spirit gadget, well, to support my earlier comments I’ll go with my Cardo freecom 4+ motorcycle intercom. This little guy (seen below) weighing a total of 34 grams, straps to the side of my helmet. Then with a pair of flat headphones inside the padding, and a Bluetooth connection to my phone; it gives me music playback, instructions from maps, and FM radio. The inclusion of an assistant button on the body means I don’t need to pull over to start a call, send a message or change my mapping route. Keeping me in the ride without visual distraction for a 10+ hours of usage.
