Louis I live in germany, which other reason do you need?
@jdinger03 and @JayAnyWay welcome!
Hey Guys! I am Muzammil from Lahore, Pakistan. I am 19 years old tech enthusiast.
I am a huge fan of Carl since his journey with the OnePlus. Now, if he has introduced Nothing then there must be some super plans ahead that attracted my attention towards Nothing.
My device Mi 10 Youth which I am currently using shocked me. It is a mid-range smartphone that helps me in everyday life.
My favorite lyric is from the song Believer by Imagine Dragons " Pain!
You made me a, you made me a believer, believer
Pain!
You break me down, you build me up, believer, believer"
Hope I will be of benefit to Nothing
Bonjour à tous ! Surprisingly, it seems like I am the first french man to introduce myself to the community, so I would like to send everyone greetings from all of us in France . Currently I’m based in Lyon where I just moved in from Lisbon in Portugal, and I study IT.
I originally followed the birth of Nothing as Carl Pei left OnePlus, and was thrilled to discover what he would accomplish without the restrictions and strings pulled by its previous company. I hoped nothing’s products could differentiate themselves from other companies which honestly all kind of do the same nowadays, and while the ears 1 were a beautiful and very fonctional product (bought them for my sister and my mother ), it didn’t quite change something about how we use or behave with our tech products. I hope in the future, Nothing achieves to build products that both are coherent and work together. I see the community as a tool for Nothing to both take ideas and have an early feedback on in-house ideas, so that we can create hand in hand great products.
The piece of technology I loved so much, and the first one I owned, must be my nintendo DS first gen, which was my entry into the tech world and a truly awesome piece of tech. Nowadays though, my airpods pro are the item I could not leave without, I was amazed by the whole experience they can provide (sorry, I know ear 1’s are competitors !)
Two quotes : a spiritual one
courage is the ability to go from one defeat to another without losing enthusiasm"- Churchill
, and a more practical one, quite funny if you ask me :
“buy nice or buy twice” which I heard first on MKBHD’s channel.
I don’t actually have one, but my spiritual gadget would be an electric scooter or bike, because I am speed (hope you get that one) and I love going out and rolling while always trying to be faster than the bigger players (the cars)
I hope we will do great things together, see you soon
Great to meet everyone and so happy to be here! Just some quick info about me below.
I reside in the pacific northwest, USA.
I’m interested in Nothing because of the simplicity, affordability, functionality and beauty of the Ear (1). I’m excited for the future of the company and products as it aligns closely with my own tech mantras.
the Game Boy Pocket made my jaw drop as a kid - I vividly remember getting this for Christmas along with Mega Man. It would ignite my never ending passion for gaming.
Favorite quote of recent memory is “I’m not comfortable with comfort. I’m only comfortable when I’m in a place where I’m constantly learning and growing” - Ye (fka Kanye West)
WELCOME WELCOME everyone! Great introductions!
@SamC Nice to see you here. Lot of Fnatics joining the Nothing team eh?
Hello again to @Starcommander @JayAnyWay @jdinger03 @muzammil_hussain @Stachmou @swish! Excited to have you on board!
personal note: I love dbrand too! Even skinned my laptop recently to give it the teardown look, that’s like 4-5 devices skinned now! gosh, they take too much of my money!
Hello everyone, I am Nipun and i am from Kerala, India.
I came to know about Nothing from the tweets of Carl and was so excited for the reveal of his new venture. The vison of Nothing on revolutionising the tech industry and blending the tech into our daily life was the idea that made me interested towards the brand
The piece of tech that first made me go wow was the Iphone 1. It was a masterpiece that redefined the concept of smartphones and it was a pleasure using the device till the battery finally gave up.
My favourite lyrics are from the song Let it Go from Frozen
"It’s funny how some distance makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me can’t get to me at all
It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I’m free"
TheINZPIRED Welcome to the Community! Never did I ever think I’d find someone that would quote Frozen lyrics, but reading them out loud they are actually pretty powerful, nice choice ️
Hey there, Anuj from India.
Was a fan of the pure and minimalist experience that OnePlus brought with its introduction, with simple design and minimalist software (Cyanogen and then oxygen). That was a time when likes of Pete and Carl showed that even the best (Vanilla android experience which was limited to the Google Nexus’s and a handful of devices) can be improved even further without defying its sanity. But I believe that doesn’t seem to be the way forward.
So when Carl introduced us to Nothing, there was a sense of happiness (as a tech and gadget enthusiast) that we may be able to get somethings similar that we so loved and enjoyed. And this is what defines my hopes for and from NOTHING.
As for the piece of tech, as shared earlier also, its surely was my iPod Classic. That was my first gadget I bought post being professional employed. The spin wheel experience at that time was something like “never experienced before” and just that changed the way and feel of listening to your music.
As for the favorite movie quote, or lyric from a song, its for sure would be
"And I ain’t gonna be just a face in the crowd
You’re gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud
It’s my life
It’s now or never
I ain’t gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I’m alive"
And here is a picture of my spirit gadget (Credit: Google as I would need to go on a search heist to get a pic of my actual Spirit Gadget)
Hey : )
Im Jost from Germany.
I’m a student and interested in tech since I was a young child.
My first product i owned was the Nintendo 3DS in primary school.
Later, when I went to “middle school”, I got my first phone which was an iPhone 4. Nowadays I am using an iPhone 8, after I tested out Android with a Samsung S7 Edge (before it drowned in the pool) and a Huawei Mate 10 lite.
My most interesting tech I’m using daily is probably my self-built PC (R7 3700X/RTX 2070), my iPad Air 2020, my Apple Watch Series 7, my iPhone 8 of course and my Nothing ear (1) in ears.
I already found a few security breaches on my mum’s iMac (21″ 2010) and always enjoyed finding bugs (or unintended features : P).
I think this will be a fun journey and I am looking forward to have a nice experience with you.
Greetings, Jost
PS: Sorry for bad English here and there XoX
PPS: had to write the emojis as scuffed as they are rn

Hi everyone!
I am Aashish from India. Before I start, it is feeling really great to be here already. I went through a few posts & threads and saw so many tech enthusiasts and jolly people. I am so excited for all the cool discussions and fun
I have been following Nothing (can’t really type without giggling 10/10 times) since its inception and been a fan of Carl’s work since OnePlus. I was fascinated by the Vision of Nothing and their attempt to do something different in the big tech world. It was such a difficult task but we all know @Carl , don’t we ? It’s just been a year and we can already see how impressive ear(1) has done, so the future looks bright to me and I cannot wait to contribute! Starting from the company’s name to it’s first product, the form that got me here, the emails and this community/forum, everything is so unique and uniform that it gets me excited about the future of Nothing. Also, it’s good to see many familiar names from the OP Community.
I am a Data Engineer by profession and a geek + hardcore tech/gadgets enthusiast I love to test and report stuff and I have an eye for UI/Design too (I already caught some stuff since I joined haha). Coming to the piece of technology that dropped my jaw was my beloved OnePlus 3T. The phone that I used from 2017 until last year. I was really impressed how complete an Android smartphone can be. It had an awesome design/build, AMOLED display, Dash Charging, Notification LED, good speakers, iconic Alert Slider, fast FPS, Type-C, Camera, Custom ROM support and so on… It truly lived up to the “Flagship Killer” name at that price.
About my favorite movie quote, it coincidentally has “Nothing” inside it xD
and in the end my favorite piece of technology
Edit: @Rudi Forgot to report stuff that I noticed
1. 2022 Nothing*
2. If you do not set an icon in Profile>Social Media button and use the default fetched colored ones, it shows a black circle
Well spotted, aashish1435 welcome to our family!
About the social media button, add the handle first and then manually select the platform icon from the list. I’ll be reporting the bug further. ️
Hi everyone, my name is Rémi, I’m 26 yo and I’m very happy to be here and to be part of this community!
Let’s play the questions’ game :
I live in France in Metz, a medium-sized city in the east of the country. I am an IT developer
I like new technologies and I heard about Nothing in Internet shows at the time of the teasing of the ears(1) when it was still photos of the prototype, just when I wanted to try true earphones wireless. First, it was the design that intrigued me, I really like devices with transparency, but I wanted to wait for the first tests to see the audio quality. And they convinced me given the quality/design/practicality/price ratio.
Now to be honest I would love the next product to be a smartphone and I can say the same of it
Recently except ear(1) and as a video games lover, 2 new devices really intrigued me. It was the Analogue Pocket for its clean minimalist design and product quality, and the Playdate by Panic. I can’t wait to receive my pre-order from the Playdate by the way !
Otherwise, when I was a child, the devices that surprised me were all the iterations of the Nintendo DS and then 3DS, each time with their design and hardware or software improvements. My first Apple product too before my first smartphone, an iPod Touch, it was gorgeous.
I don’t have a specific movie quote or lyric, but on the music side I have a favorite album : Good Faith by Madeon, I really like the overall message behind the album, especially the song Heavy with Hopping.
I really like watches, mainly automatic ones but the only battery-powered watch I have is a vintage Casio, again for the design and the simplicity of the object
Ciao guys, happy to take part of this!
I live in Torino, Italy
II looking for ispiration
III iPod Nano when I was 10 but couldn’t affrod it );
V Egglike Braun stuff don’t know why but makes me feel happy

REMI_PRN I like watches too! And I’ve got a Casio like that too, but totally silver/chrome. Welcome!
@cristian super nostalgic indeed.
