RXShorty Eclectic lineup! I always wanted to try the Passport myself, super interesting form factor.
Interesting mention on privacy screen protectors, I know they’re pretty popular - I usually see them used on iPhones which of course use Face ID…is it possible for an optical fingerprint reader to operate with one applied at all?
Introduce yourself
@Rob Passport was the perfect phone for me. Touch sensitive keyboard so you can scroll and still use physical buttons. BBOS10 was also a great OS.
One I forgot to mention is the Jolla Phone, which was most of the time not useable for me. Did use a Nokia N9 for a very short period.
Regarding the privacy screenprotectors I have tried all of it with multiple devices and it doesnt work or unreliable. Face unlock on the Nothing Phone 2 is good enough. If it only could be used as a passkey or such. The Pixel 8 does support face unlock for banking apps, so my hope is that Nothing Phone 3 will be on that level.
Or even better have a special cutout or non privacy part on the fingerprint sensor with a privacy screen protector. It should not much of a privacy issue as the fingerprint sensor is located at the very bottom of the phone.
Hi, I’m Rahil Anwar, currently pursuing Information Technology in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Studying IT has been an exhilarating journey, especially diving into the world of technology and its innovations.
I find myself drawn to Nothing due to my passion for innovative tech and the excitement of being part of a forward-thinking community. The prospect of collaboration within a global network and witnessing Nothing’s vision come to life is incredibly appealing.
Speaking of tech that amazed me, I was once awestruck by a CPU at Dreamhack Hyderabad 2023 that resembled something out of an Iron Man movie. The design was mind-blowing, even though I couldn’t delve into its detailed specifications. It left a lasting impression with its futuristic appeal.
As for a favorite quote, Spider-Man’s iconic line, “With great power comes great responsibility,” resonates deeply with me. It’s a timeless reminder of the importance of using one’s abilities conscientiously, transcending beyond the realm of superheroes into our everyday lives.
I’m thrilled to join this community and share thoughts and experiences with fellow tech enthusiasts. Looking forward to engaging and learning together
good day
Amen Lighte Thanks
Good day,
Sending greetings all the way from Botswana and wanted to say that I recently learned of Nothing from a project I was working on with regards to Start-up Companies and from the moment I laid my eyes on Nothing I knew that this is about to be the for front of technology moving forward. This doesn’t look like a new product entering into the tech world, it feels like the tech world is going to have to try fit into its design. I hope that this company and community continue to grow and work side by side in giving positive feedback and constructive criticism so that we can all come out with the best gadgets and most pleasurable desires.
In Terms of the first piece of technology that dropped my jaw, I will always look back to my first gaming console. I couldn’t believe that the world of imagination and animation could come to life and be in the palm of my hands for control. I always loved cartoons and fictional works and I am certain my interest in gaming played a vital role in the interests I have to this day.
One of my favorite quotes is “to know the cost of everything and the value of nothing”, which is such an interesting coincidence to be sharing on a Nothing Community Chat And lastly in introducing myself I believe it’s only fair that I share my spirit gadget
Hey all…Roddy Merritt here. Nothing Phone 2 lover!!! Purchased ear 2 then phone 2. Planning to get a phone 1 and ear sticks. As small time YouTuber and someone who has used a ton of flagship phones, nothing is just so solid and so so great!!! I’ve just been incredibly impressed with this awesome phone!!! So I look forward to being part of the community.

Hi everyone. I’m sorry forgot to introduce myself on this thread.
My name is Amir and I’m from Malaysia. I bought Nothing Phone (2) after it was launched in Malaysia under YES telco, a few months ago. I attended the launch event as a media crew and enjoyed the event.
The reason I choose Nothing Phone (2) is because of the design, software support and of course Carl Pei. hahaha. (I’m ex-user OnePlus)
I’m not sure can be called a piece or not but it is AI. Nowadays, we can do everything with AI and depends on whether we want to do it in the right way, or the naughty way. Many big companies inject AI into their existing system and hopefully will ease user using their device.
My favourite quote would be from Han Sooyoung, Chapter 551, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint manga.
If this story can really save you, if you regained just a little of your memories and remember us just one more time, then I’ll keep writing the epilogue for you until the end of time, for eternity.
- For spirit gadgets, IDK what to choose but probably my iPhone 11 Pro Max + Apple Watch + AirPods Pro 2nd Gen together with Nothing Phone (2) + Nothing Ear (2). I think.
Anywho, thanks for having me and I’m looking forward to being a part of the community, sharing opinions and assisting other community members if they have a problem, similar to what I have been through.
Well done Nothing and Teams. Keep it up and all the best!
Thanks for always listening to the community’s opinions and needs.
AmirHussaini Thanks for the intro and nice to hear a bit about you!
We’re seeing you around a lot and helping other members - I appreciate that!
See you around the platform!

arunraj_9CDCqW5TmZ Welcome!
Hello everyone, this is Ali from India but I live in Dubai. I still don’t own a Nothing device as I am waiting for the 3rd Phone, but always loved the idea of its minimal design and overall Os. Reminds me of the old days of OnePlus devices. Anyway, I am a Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager so you might see some concept designs in the forum. Glad to meet the community. Cheers!

Ali Fakhruddin Hello! What sort of graphic design work do you usually do?
Welcome to the community!
Rob Hi Rob, I am actually an all-rounder, I did my major in Autodesk Maya learning 3D Animation, and then pursued my career in Graphic Design with Adobe Suite. I have been a Graphic Designer for 12 years now and I fancy minimalism. You can find my work at https://alifakhruddin.crd.co At the moment I combine Marketing and Graphic Design in Dubai for the company taking care of all the communication digitally (mostly) and print.
Ali Fakhruddin Ahh and do check out the N-Notes app concept and let me know your feedback. I was motivated to make more concept designs after that. :-)
Ok so I forgot to introduce myself , so here we go: I’m Aman Ali, a 23-year-old designer from India. currently working as a visual designer in a Dubai based company but have passion for ui/ux from the beginning. so that’s why whenever I get some chance I use that time to create designs for my fav. products to learn. it can be a re-design or a concept sometimes. you can always checkout more here: amanondribbble
THE REASON WHY I’M HERE-
I’ve been an android user (don’t think I’m too broke) from the beginning and I always felt that there was a need of a good android device. FYI I’ve been following teenage engineering and when I heard the news about nothing and teenage eng. collaborating I felt it is going to be super crazy, I was really excited. and I’m glad they came up with such vision for tech. I feel nothing is filling the gap in the market that a lot of people didn’t even know existed. A COMPANY WITH COMMUNITY. this is something I really love about nothing.
I’ve never been a part of any community, but this feels home
sharing my twitter if you guys want to connect: Twitter
aman ali Agreed. Reminds me of the old “Jolla” days in 2011. I’m based in Dubai as well.
Ali Fakhruddin I work remotely from india buddy.
