Introduce yourself
Hello everyone, my name is Bassam and I hail from Lebanon , currently residing in Kuwait, happy to start the NOTHING journey with all of you .
Hi Everyone!
Kshitij this side from India!
Just another Engineering Grad from the Nation, who is stuck in the corporate grind for most part of the day and dabbles in researching new tech and value investment opportunities when he finds the time!
Hello there, glad to finally be part of the communtiy.
My name is Colin, I’m a Software Developer from Switzerland
Nothing got me really hooked, first with the ear (1) and then again by actually acknowledge the problem with smartphones and the willingness to change something. I’m really excited what’s has been revealed so far and what’s to come.
I first got startet into the Smartphone world with a IPhone 3GS, but what got me really hooked is the OnePlus 7 Pro with one of the first underscreen fingerprint reader and no notch / the pop-up Camera.
Never got excited for any other phone since then, except the Phone (1).
Cheers
Hi everyone. Im Tony and im currently living in Motala, Sweden. Born and raised here but been around a bit. Having my own little welding company and 2 kids.
My interest in Nothing is the cool designs and the hypebuilding. But from the start it was because of the inspiration Carl Pei.
About the tech that blow my mind was when Numark released the effectmixer that took my DJing to another level back in The late 90s
Movie quote?,,, maybe from FATF Tokyo Drift, that life is simple, you make choises and never look back.
Please let this phone rule the world!

Hi Everyone,
I’m Antonio from Porto, Portugal and professionally I’m a CPA (Chartered Public Accountant). First of all, thank you all to make this possible, I’m in because I think we do not need fancy tech, over priced products and above all with no “soul”. In my opinion less is more and I trully believe that all the Nothing Team shares the same opinion. I’m not a tech geek, only curious, aware about what it is happening around and can fulfil my expectations. The first mobile that fulfilled my expectations at that time was my 2001 Nokia 6210, what a mobile! I also had a PDA from Psion the Revo version (image below), what an amazing piece of tech for the period! But I wouldn’t be fare If I didn’t mention my HP financial calculator 17bII+, still using it when I don’t have my OP2 near and it is a very nice ornamental piece on my desk, didn’t I mention that I’m an accountant…
Last but not least and has Lana Del Rey sings “Live fast die young be wild and have fun”, I just suggest you to skip the part of dying young, Nothing as just start its adventure…
Hi everyone,
I’m from France, lived in different places around the world and travelled a bit but these days mostly in France and Europe.
I have followed up previous adventure of the founders and liked their ideas and products so I’m really curious of what will be launched by Nothing. First products are really nice and I love the design and UX. Still some work to do but I’m sure with the collective help of the community it will get there.
For me the first game console I’ve touched and Atari 2600 litellealy blow my mind. At the time you did not have that much electronic devices and seeing for the first time a game you could play on TV with others was the first time i thought I want more. And somehow I ended building electronic devices.
I love “Life finds a way” from Jurassic Park, it just works in so many occasion especially when it comes to software and electronics.
My totem gadget is a mobile phone, not this one even if I kept it somewhere but I had to update. I have a lot of electronics device that I use and love but the mobile phone is the swiss army knife of gadgets and it changed the way people communicate, access to information or work (and so many more). There is a before and after mobile phones, just look at old TV series or movies and compared to recent one and you will see how the mobile phone even changed the plot.

Welcome to both of you in this place.
I hope you will be comfortable here, and that you will be able to contribute to this community.
antoniodsoliveira I always wanted a Psion, I always wanted to move a way from pen and paper (my filofax - yes I’m that old and yes I had one) and have everything in one electronic place (like we do now) - great for it’s time
Hi all! Glad to be here. I don’t want to make this so long so I’m writing a few details.
I’m Iván “iCreSTZ” (26) from Spain. Since I was young I was interested in all kind of tech and the possibilities it can bring. I’m into PC stuff, hardware and software as I build my PCs and optimize my setup; and mobile stuff as I’m mobile apps developer (I think this contributed to my OCD, need to see all in order and organized and less chaotic ).
On the smartphone topic, I’m always looking for a reliable phone with close attention details and a new and different feature implemented that breaks the standards (with an affordable price) accesible for all, and that’s where Nothing comes here.
I had 4 smartphones in my lifetime, 1 was a basic Nokia, and the other 3 are worth to mention because I got a great experience with them:
-Samsung Galaxy S2, flagship back then (if I’m not wrong, writing from memory), bought on release (2011), lasted 3 years.
-LG G3, another flagship, one of the first with Quad HD screen, and unique back buttons system of LG, bought on release (2014), lasted 3 years.
-LG G6, another flagship, best phone I’ve ever had, not gonna write much, one of the first phones on maximize the % of screen on the front, great design, bought on release (2017), this is my daily driver, aged perfectly and was pretending to use it for a long time, until I heard about Phone (1).
Excited for what Nothing can offer. I love the close approach and the friendly community, and I pretend to stay here for a long time and contribute to the community as much as I can.
Namaste Nothing Community! (Indian way of greeting)
I’m Soumyajit and a Computer Science Engineer currently working in one of the BIG 4’s in India. Super excited to be a part of the community and Love what Nothing is doing.
Was a bit late getting to know about “Nothing” but reading and researching more & more about it made me a fan of carl’s vision. Similar to what happened when Oneplus was introduced but Nothing is different and that what made me interested about it.
Thank you for inviting me @Louis
And I hope all are doing great. Cheers
