I am a senior software product designer at Nothing based in the London HQ. I am from Hong Kong originally, but have been studying and working in the UK since 2003. I have worked on a lot of different things, from banking apps to national security platforms and many others.
I joined Nothing for the same reason why a lot of your have invested: the vision to make technology feels like nothing. As a designer I know how easy it is build something new and shiny; it is not easy to obsess over the smallest of details to design a truly intuitive and delightful user experience. It is easier said then done, but I am very fortunate to join a company and a team to think the same way.
Name a piece of technology that dropped your jaw: Dyson handheld vacuum cleaners. It turns something everyone hates to do into a delightful experience. The satisfaction of seeing the dirt being collected by the transparent cylinder - magical.
What’s your favourite movie quote, or lyric from a song: “Yippee ki yay, ____________” Bruce Willis from Die Hard. Sorry I could have come up with something a bit more sophisticated, but this is just so classic and epic!
