Hi everyone (loving the community vibe from everybody). I’m interested in buying a pair of Ear[1] which I expect to use with a bluetooth offline player. My question is: - will the noise cancelling still work if I’m using the player and not my phone as the source?
Interested in buying I have a question!

Hey Rob,
Great question!
I just tested this out by connecting my ear (1)'s to a laptop. I can confirm that you are still able to toggle ANC modes using gestures on the earbuds themselves, without being connected to the official app.
If you do decide to buy a pair - I would still suggest connecting them to a device using the official app to install updates and customize them to your liking, before pairing to your offline player.
Please do let us know if you have any other questions about them!

No worries!
I’ve not heard of any issues with thier robustness … in fact, I’ve dropped my pair onto hard floors more times than I’d like to admit without any damage.
I’d suggest having a watch of this Mrwhosetheboss video, in which he intentionially drops his ear (1)'s and also tries wearing them in the shower as part of his review:
Hopefully that answers your question?
Thanks! Looks good to me. Has anybody else tried doing any serious running in them (I noticed in the video he mentioned he can feel the movement a little)?
In general RobIgo, they’re a good fit for running. But it’s worth mentioning that they aren’t sports earbuds (the best type for that kind of activity, as they’re made to stay snug, no matter the movement – to the detriment of other features).
But I think overall, they’re the best fitting earbuds one can have these days. Their shape helps them stay put in the ears and the fact they’re cloud-like makes them super comfy to wear. Other earbuds would pop out and/or give you that “pull” feeling. With the 3 ear tip pairs, you’re sure to have no issues with them during exercise.
If you have alien-shaped ears and no earbuds stay where they should be, I suggest wearing a hat (it’s cold in the UK at the moment) or a sweat-band, to complement that pro look you may want to achieve. Then on your chilled days, you can still rock the most dazzling earphones the tech world has seen so far.
so….. your returns policy… if order these… run in them and generally think they aren’t suitable I have 30 days to return them for a refund?
