Recently, i tried the Google find my app with my earbuds but was annoyed that it only shows device location when turned on, so if the earbuds are in the case and the case is closed, it can’t update device location.

I would like to have the option in the Nothing X App to be able to connect to the earbuds without the case being opened. It could run on a bluetooth LE connection when not turned on. This way, you can always find them in Google Find my or play a sound through the Nothing X App.

I’m pretty sure, this is available on some Airpods and i would really like it on my Nothing Ear (a)'s. I think, it can be enabled via. a firmware update

    Unfortunately that’s not possible since as you mentioned, buds are turned off once in the case and the case does not have Bluetooth functionality and it’s unlikely you would even hear them in the case

        RapidZapper couln’t they make the buds not turn off when in case with a firmware update?

        Maybe, you can’t hear the earbuds in the case but atleast you can use the google find my app

            RapidZapper i think, it would be fine, when it just has bluetooth on, it will sip power. Personally, i would be willing to make the sacrifice in battery for this feature
