Ali Fakhruddin - Probably a massive cost implication too. I cannot imagine this edition of the Phone (2a) Plus will be operating for much, if any of a profit.

I agree, it is a shame to have such a limited quantity run, and I hope those who purchase intend on using and loving the Phone, not keeping it boxed or re-selling.

      lets cancel the company for a few reasons i shall now list
      1. Only 1000 units, as @freshj1ve mentioned, “limited edition” is better name for it
      2. As @lu_viathan said, many people from the US woke up at 4am to find out that they can’t get it imagine the dissapointment on their face
      3. idk i just wanted one so i waited a month only to find out i cant because its limited
      5. oh and as @Anonymous340 said, they should’ve been transparent about this earlier!!!

        Ealesy101 Agreed. I completely understand the logistics part. Its easy to design or create something digital compared to an actual physical product. But glad that its out and those 1000 lucky owners will be really happy to have it nonetheless.

          tanxtr3m3 yeah, I’m kind of in the same boat (waited for this Community Edition annoucement).

          Just wait and see what happens, hopefully with a bit of luck Nothing might listen to our feedback that 1,000 devices isn’t enough for a “Community Edition” and people are missing out. Who knows, but fingers crossed you can secure one still. 🤞

              tanxtr3m3 If you want to make everyone happy, go sell an icecream - Steve Jobs. What I am trying to say is, Nothing still has a long way to go. And there are things behind the scenes that not everyone can be aware of. This edition isnt available in UAE as well. But Happy that its out there for the 1000 users.

                    Anonymous340 100%, but I don’t believe there will be limited units for the Phone 3 as Nothing is still growing, wants more people to get familar with the brand/products and their next flagship.

                      tanxtr3m3 I would like to see Nothing succeed as they are doing something different. I like their products (had their Phone 2a previously).

                        tanxtr3m3 Yeah that was shocking to me too. And i do get it, imagine people saving up their money to buy a community edition and they wont even find it in their region. But it is what it is. Lets see how it goes. May be they might increase if they have enough profits.

                          tanxtr3m3 haha wouldn’t go this far at all. I’m still super excited for nothing and to see what they do long term. But don’t get me wrong this whole thing just really disappointed me as a community member. Being a limited launch is one thing but then limiting it to their top profitable markets is a whole different level of disappointment. When signing up and engaging in a community you’d expect a community edition to be truly available for all in the community not ignoring portions of your community that actually engage and support you. I just hope this is more of a lesson long term as Nothing learns and grows. Maybe the next round the details can be shared upfront, more transparently. Also, maybe as they grow the opportunities like this expand to all not just a select few…

                                  Anonymous340 Its a learning curve. I have never seen Apple or Google being involved in their community like Nothing. So let it pass. As time goes, they will surely bring more opportunities that serves the best of interests for both them and the community.

                                      tanxtr3m3 if you waited out this long, just wait a couple more weeks and see what happens with this commuinity edition. You never know you might be able to get one still.. but yeah, your call obviously!

Hopefully long term we see this turn around a bit or at the very least see Nothing be more transparent ,like their products, in the details upfront versus crushing so many community members hype at the very end of a launch we all followed for months on months 😂
