I’ve been a big fan of Nothing for the longest time. I followed it on socials until i could get a NP1 through the US Beta program and then I joined the Discord server as a Black Dot holder. I bought a NP2. I bought Nothing Ear (2) and Nothing Ear. I tested the CMF Phone 1 in the CBT program. I even bought a NP2a Plus though I had to return it. I’ve gotten work associates interested in the brand and have converted some into sales. To say I’ve been all-in would be entirely accurate. And I’m not alone.

But is my enthusiasm now misplaced? “US / Canada / Mexico - Community Edition is not available through the US Beta programme.” The 2a/2a Plus can only be purchased through the US Beta if you’re lucky to have them be in stock when you want to buy. What’s the end game here? Is Nothing pulling back from any form of North American smart phone market participation? Why should we be enthusiastic about products we can only admire from afar? I’d love for someone from the Nothing community team provide a meaningful reply to these concerns.

I don’t think so. I’ve been a fan of Nothing for a long time as well. Guess what, they didn’t even mention my country. Nothing is still a small company as they mentioned. Just wait, soon they will care of other coutries.

Jordan They entered our market directly with the NP2 and every phone released since then has not been available except through the Beta. That’s a concern.

megatomic I understand. You are right about that. I was only able to get the phone 2a because I moved. I also used to live in North America. I think North America isn’t one of their biggest selling points.

Jordan You’re correct, their sales here aren’t huge. But that’s their problem to solve, they have to offer the products here to sell them here. If they want out of North America that’s their choice and while I’d be disappointed I’d understand. But I’d like to know whether or not I should continue to follow along on their journey.

megatomic Think about it, they started in 2020. It’s 2024, it’s only been 4 years. Nothing is a company based in the UK. Europe and India are one of their biggest selling points, besides the UK. Plus, in North America, people buy Apple because Apple is name brand. Soon Nothing will be much more popular. They even said in their video, they are only 0.1% done in their mission. Think of their future, it will be huge! Soon they will sell products globally. I wouldn’t give up on Nothing.

Jordan I’ve been a Nothing fanboy from the beginning, all I want to know is if I should continue to be. I’m not afraid for their future globally - just here in North America.

Jordan Lol, I was hoping someone from Nothing could provide a reason for continuing. They’ve been absolutely mute on this for months.

Jordan Agreed. I don’t hold out much hope for any reassurance but my curiosity overwhelmed me.

I do wonder, would Nothing beat Apple in sales one day?

Jordan Ehhh, I’d be happy if they could at least do as well as the Pixels do here.
