I bought ear 2 in BBS i was so excited firstly but after using two days i observed same thing as you guys noticed… by using the touching gestures the battery is drained too fastly . Its very disappointing..at this price range

Poor battery health…and anc support

Hello, I just bought the headphones and I compare them with others I have. I have little with them but it seems that the battery thing is true, it is little. But it is also true that the other headphones have more battery capacity, for example the Oneplus Buds Pro 2 have 60 mAh headphones, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro 58 mAh, the Nothing Ear 2 33 mAh, so it is to be expected. that have a shorter battery life. My first impressions are that they sound good, better than my Samsung galaxy buds 2 (non-pro version) but my OP buds 2 have better sound, at least in my opinion and because of how I like to listen to music

digitalboy i feel you, been using them for a bit now and the battery drains really fast, before i was using the ear 1 which compared to the ear 2 had great battery life. It really feels like a downgrade, also the sound seems a bit worse to me but im probably just trippin.

I am also facing the same issue and report to Nothing and got my Ear(2) exchange to a new one, but the batter life was same about 2 hours. When I looked at the disclaimer part of Ear(2) there was one shocking parameter typed for ANC OFF 6 hours playback.

BATTERY LIFE: THE EARBUDS AND CHARGING CASE ARE FULLY CHARGED WITH ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLATION TURNED OFF, 50% VOLUME, AND WITH AAC FORMAT AND THE REST OF THE FEATURES AT DEFAULT SETTINGS.

I can assume, that playback time for both ANC ON and OFF can be achieved only by 50% volume, use AAC codec, NO EQ. Using LHDC codec, volume more than 50%, and enabling EQ or other function will impact battery life.

I have been so disappointed with the ear 2 I asked for a refund after the second pair has the poor battery life (2 hours) as did the first pair. Did not get a refund. But I have change to Soundcode liberty 4 nc. Battery life is really good. And sound just as good.

Ears 2 are so disappointing.

Came from the Nothing Discord because none of the Ear (2) battery life complaints posted there sure aren’t being heard.

I’m getting just over two hours with no noise control (i.e. both ANC and Transparency Mode off) and having to resort to alternating single earbuds if on a long call with family. I love everything else about the Ear (2) and if the poor battery life was a minor issue I could overlook it, but I just can’t because it so bad. I just got the Soundcore p20i recently as a cheap $30 backup to use while the Ear (2) charges and while it doesn’t have ANC (then again Ear (2) practically doesn’t have ANC either given how much of drain on the battery it is) and it has easily has 4 times the battery life before having to charge them buds in the case.

It’s the first time, I paid for premium priced earbuds and the Ear (2) is a regrettable purchase and a thorough disappointment, compounded by the fact that Nothing don’t seem to have acknowledged the issue, let alone, be interested in fixing it . It certainly wasn’t mentioned this quarter’s Community Update YT video (which drained 10% of the Ear (2) battery just by watching the whole 12 mins video).

I can’t see the CMF Buds Pro being any better battery-wise.

I am using nothing Ear2 paired with nothing phone2. Ear2 battery life is horrible.

With ANC I’m not even getting 2 hrs of battery life and with out ANC maximum 2.5 hrs I’m getting.

I’ve updtaed everything from phone as well as from firmware (nothing X app). What is the solution get better battery life??

Merged 1 post from Issue with the battery backup .

johnmadsen You can enable AAC codec mode in the nothing x app by going to setting device and disable high-quality audio. Then Ear(2) will reboot in AAC codec mode. This actually prolng the battery life a lot. Got about 4.5 hours+ playback time with 70%+ volume and ANC enabled. ALso about the EQ, it referes to the equalizer setting in the nothing x app. Not the music playing app.

Having the same issue. I roughly get about 2 hours of battery life with AMC & LHDC out of one charge. You pick them up, listen to 10 minutes of music and at least one of the buds is already at only 80% battery. This is by far the most dissappointing battery life of all the products I ever bought.

I love everything else about these buds, design, look & feel, they fit perfectly in my ear, the integration in nothing os. But you pay a premuim price here and end up with the worst battery life on the market. Sad but true.

Hey gus!! I wanna tell you something. I was facing the same battery drain issue even after exchanging the earbuds. But battery life has been improved after resetting the buds 2 times!!(yesterday night & today). Try it out guys!!
